I've Norton Antivirus AutoProtect switched on, etc. I don't know when this started, but my browsing seems to be slowing down a bit lately so I thought I'd disconnect my computer, shut down, start up, and then connect to my ISP. Without launching any programs whatsoever, stuff starts downloading to my laptop. I'm seeing this from the data traffic monitor. Can anyone suggest how I can find out what is being downloaded where on to my computer? Eg name of file, from which IP, and to which folder on my PC. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the quick reply, Sarah. I looked at my Windows status bar, and there're no Update icons. I understand that if it's the Windows Update happening, there should be an icon there. And I don't see any Adobe Reader processes running in my Process Monitor either.
