Marketing on Twitter

Hi guys,

I have created a website - i am trying to promote it using many methods - one of which is to market it on twitter.

I have created a small python application as well which posts tweets at scheduled times.

There has been some response as results of tweets - but not much - followers I got for marketing twitter accounts are mostly travel companies themselves.

Any general ideas - how to promote yourself on twitter

Any help would be appreciated

Tweet those which are really useful. Get some followers. Either you can use some software to get huge followers or you can do it manually. Once you get good followers, the time when you will tweet there is surity that you will get some traffic. Stil Twitter is getting spam and might loose its brightness..

for one account i have over 1000 tweets (within a month)
130 followers
most of them are like other travel companies

 

As everybody knows, Twitter is opt-in and it limits you to 140 characters. That means you have to give people content they actually want to read (or they may as well just unfollow you), and you don't have much space in which to do it. One way to do this is to use your tweets on Twitter as links to longer, more substantial and informative content on blogs or in the from of article marketing content (which frankly I think is such an opportunity that every online business should be using anyway).

I suggest you search google for Twitter Mass Follower Tool(s)

you will get many returns - however as per my above post - most of those followers will be other companies - twitter is getting too much spam these days -

 

oh yea with us using it as marketing tool - what else is expected

 

you can schedule your post with tweetmeme for twitter..............so it will automatically publish when you add some content on our website.

 

I have used it in the past - it is great a app - need some flexibility so I created my own - probably my posting frequency was very high - which resulted in account getting banned

 

It sounds like you aren't taking the time to truly get involved. I would recommend using the search feature and actually manually looking for people who are interested in traveling. I'm guessing yuor website is related to traveling. From there, follow them, talk to them about their vacation plans WITHOUT telling them they need to buy from you. Give good solid recommendations that are helpful. For example, someone may ask "What are some good restaurants to eat at in Orlando, FL?" this might be a good time to step in and provide something useful. People will follow you if you do this, then you have a following you can truly market too and post offers that might generate sales from time to time.

 

Just getting a lot of followers won't work getting loyal followers is most important. Twitter marketing is quite similar to email marketing.

My best advice is to not use automatic tweets! Look twitter is used for entertain people not for selling your products. However you can use twitter as a marketing tool. First you need to create your targeted audience and after you can sell them what ever you offer.

The main thing should be to entertain your target audience not to bombing them with offers. I used to see people using automatic tweets and different tools and they just tweeting the same again and again and again. You can get response to that but I recon you need responses in the long run not just for short term.

Get your tweet more interesting and more fun and you will see the result. Remember the main thing you need to focus on is to entertain! Once you have a lot of followers then will be much easier to make some offers and you will get a lot more response!!

It's true that it is very difficult to find "real" followers. I have thousands of followers on multiple accounts and it seems about 85% of them are marketers. The rest are likely to report you as a spammer the first time you attempt to sell a product, site or anything else.
Be prepared to go thru alot of accounts. Good think it's so easy to make them.

Don`t use a tool.be patient and do everything manually so that people start trusting you cause its the first and most important thing in that kind of marketing

 

Well twitter does not work for me atleast, i have not generate any single visitors through twitter
