I also recommend ezinearticles. When I checked my article clicks and click through rates, they always seem to be higher on EZA. I also think its good you are choosing products with low competition. I do not understand newbie affiliates that choose to promote what every one else is promoting. Good luck! I look forward to seeing your updates.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm also sick of EZA and all the BS that they've been on recently. Their support team is horrible too. 5 days for a generic response that doesn't help you at all...

I started using AB as my primary directory about a month ago and I'm seeing pretty good results from them so far.

To get back on topic of this thread though, you should use OnlyWire.com to social bookmark all of your articles. You will have to manually create an account at all of them, but once you're done, it takes a matter of like 10 seconds to submit your site/articles to like 25 different social bookmarking sites including all the big ones like Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, etc.

They have a free version of OnlyWire that you can use. All you need to do is put their button on one of your sites and you get their service for free.

Good luck though, just keep working hard and you will see results for sure.

Yes, I started using OnlyWire before to social bookmark my articles. The only thing I experienced with this program is that not every bookmark is with success. I had around 10 failures each time I bookmarked through onlywire. And Digg didn't give any response at all, even when I finalized afterwards.
Should I just manually go to their website and bookmark from there? or is this a personal problem?

    thanks everyone :)

You'll always have some sites that will fail. Don't worry about them. Just the ones that it submits successfully are a great boost for you.

As far as your question about Digg...

Unfortunately they don't accept links from article directories anymore. They automatically assume any link coming from one is spam. So don't waste your time attempting to manually submit them. Unless someone knows a trick that gets you around this, it's impossible.

Yeah, the failures will happen. I get a good amount of them too sometimes. Even with the failures, it's still a much more efficient way to bookmark everything as opposed to doing it manually. You could always make a list of the sites that failed and then go back and do those yourself.

@brad: Digg has actually been accepting by Articles Base articles, they just never accepted anything from Ezine Articles. Not sure if they changed their policy recently, but it's been only about a week or 2 since I tried to submit an AB article to Digg and they took them.

    Update 03 March 2010

    Articles Submitted: 7

Information about other statics aren't there yet, but they will be added as soon as it will roll. My articles are submitted for 1 product and waiting for approval at the moment. For 4 of the articles submitted I did keyword research. I am not sure about the keyword quality for the other 3 :p But it will be good to see the difference in views after some days :)

I will work on keywords and writing articles for the next product this evening. This will fasten my project a little bit more than expected.

Another thing I will have to do today is choosing my last product.

    Thanks

Really? I tried a couple of months ago and it didn't work. Maybe they've changed it so they are accepted.

I'll have to go submit my articles then. Thanks for letting me know about that.

Yep, I haven't had any problems with AB being declined by any bookmarking sites. Yet another reason to use them over EZA.

I did however get a comment on one of my blogs from someone at Digg saying "stop spamming the Digg community." lol but whatever.

    Update 04 March 2010

    Articles Approved: 7
    Hop Count: 15

Because of a very messy day today, I wasn't able to make any improvements according to article writing so far. I will probably look after it this evening and try to write some articles. Anyways I am in front of my planning so it isn't too bad :)

Yesterday I got 7 articles approved. All of them were bookmarked and backlinked this day. I can't conclude anything yet, so I will leave it for now. Hopefully I can update once again later on with new articles written ;)

    Thanks

    Update 05 March 2010

Yesterday I submitted 2 articles for my second product. These 2 articles (only one got bookmarked and backlinked yet) gave around 80 hops. It didn't result in any sales so far. I will be writing 3 more articles for this product today to stay on schedule.

I will write 5 articles for the third product Sunday.

    Thanks

    added:

So I would like to get my article on page one of google.. Do I need to re-bookmark again? or will it rank itself after bookmarking the article once. Same goes for backlinks in this case.

You don't need to re-bookmark it, you need to build backlinks from other article directories, web 2.0 sites, blogs, etc.

yes, but I have backlinked from around 11 article and web 2.0 sites now. Do I need to backlink them a few times a week? or is once enough

You just need to build the links until you're ranking where you want to be at. After that, you can slow down but try to build a few links here and there so you don't get knocked off the top.

SO whats the best thing to do.

Write one great article and backlink that article with every article you write for that particular niche? Or one article, and simply copy the same to all the other article directories which allow copies.

I wouldn't only focus on one article or you're limiting yourself a lot.

I just take one unique article and submit it to Articles Base and then I take the same article and submit it to a bunch of other directories and web 2.0 sites and link it back to the AB article. I do change the titles around for each submission though. Just do that for every article you write and you should start to see some increase in rankings. Also make sure you ping every article that you submit to all the other directories and sites so the search engines can find it.

Find some high PR web pages and build backlinks from them, back to your article on ezinearticles.com. I would not recommend submitting the same article to more than one directory. While it gives you some backlinks, it will not get you direct traffic. But direct traffic is what you need with this method. Ezinearticles.com (with some backlinks) gives you the best traffic.

Sounds like a nice plan man. I too am into article marketing just because it is very easy for me.The only problem in the way is where to put my articles, drive traffic to it, and build backlinks (Whatever those are).

Good luck with your plan. I'll be checking up on this soon.

Totally wrong. Direct traffic from article directories is next to nothing. With article marketing you want to get your articles ranked and stuck in good positions so they get awesome search engine traffic for long term benefits. Hence building the backlinks by submitting the article to multiple directories and linking back to the main article. This helps push the main one up the rankings.

Don't rely on just directory traffic. It comes in one or two little spurts and then dies off.

Eza is better in terms of traffic. However, no direct affiliate link is allowed. I haven't tried AB yet. I have tried ArticleAlley, and they allow affiliate hoplink within the text box. I get away with 3 clickbank hoplinks, and 2 links to my blogs within a 450 words article. All articles are moderated. Articles submitted from Mon to Fri are approved within 2 days, Sat and Sun are not good for submission, take about 3 days for approval.
