Linkjuice and moving a site to a different domain

I am planning to move a site from one domain to another. I have built up some authority on the domain and my content ranks fairly well. If I were to move everything to a new domain, how would I transfer all the link juice and rank to the content on the new domain? Do you not advise I do this at all and not worth the name change?

I have done this several times and I have some key suggestions.
1.) Make sure that the domain registration information for both the domains is the same or similar
2.) Do a 301 redirect for all the pages at the old site, not just the home page
3.) If there are pages on the old site that won't be recreated to the new site make sure those old pages are redirected to the new home page or the most appropriate new page.
4.) It can take a few days to a few weeks for the full link juice to transfer, and everything to be back to normal.
If you can do it in the off season for your business.

    Good luck!
