Same here and convinced most people don't understand at all like that above saying "I hate law," probably confusing this with the cops I grew up with the guidance of Joseph Murphy's ESP books and following then such knowledge through Vernon Howard and including Al Manning because some Wiccan beliefs don't hurt but enhance Universal laws, I would say the power of being eclectic believer. I do love a website plenty of metaphysics, philosophy and spirituality, Crystalinks for your reference. Thanks nhatle84 for starting this enlightening thread
When I use the term "I hate law" it has to do with loving liberty as opposed to slavery. I would bet that is what the other poster meant also. Laws enslave, when they are dealt from the dark side. The definition of the word "law" is simply "how a thing works". If things really do not work as advertised, then someone needs to say so... The lack of proof should blaze a path of doubt into the minds of those who look into this matter of "attraction". The usual end result is that the preacher asks for money for you to get a few "lessons" on attraction. Did I hear you say; "Never fails...." ?
We also had a discussion on the topic of the Law of Attraction on my forum a while back. http://www.abstroose.com/forum/world-philosophy-metaphysics/573-lawz-attraction.html
That's not only an good reading but also an interesting forum, joining now BTW, ther forwarding service noted above to link with Ellie Crystal's website changed its shortening format and link is not working at all Direct link to Ellie's: www.crystalinks.com
You are mostly welcome, If you look logically it makes sense, attraction ONLY ATTRACTS. So let say you look at the things you do not like and shout "NO" at it... you're ONLY ATTRACTING it into your experience.. And when you see something you do like and shout "YES"... you're ONLY ATTRACTING it into your experience.. The solution here is you may want to train your mind to look/think at things you mostly love, adore, appreciates, admire.. all of everything that gives you joy when you think and talk about them. What's lovely about LOA is once you get into the habit of appreciation all the goods you'll find that there's very little time to be complaining at all
Indeed, You get what you think whether you like it or not.. so why not think in terms of wealth, health, fame, fortune, prosperity, power.. if you think so shall you receive.
So... making a crazy application, the folks in Haiti and Chile who have had the devastating earthquakes just brought it upon theirselves ? What you are saying is clearly out of touch with reality.
You can't influence other specific people's lives but you can attract people that correspond to what you want.
Well stated. Your mission and purpose in life is to attract the things you love, but even before you begin to grasp this concept or stage of being you need to become an allower. Being an allower is practicing unconditioned love in it purest form, it's the ultimate state of being and the good news is.. you can get there from whereever you are What's unconditional love any way... we'll discuss this some other time, for now, I'm going to look for things to appreciate and love
You can also attract those who really think the teaching is for the rich to get richer by proclaiming another lie. Just wait, there is a link going to show up on this thread or in a signature for someone to make some money... if it is not here already.
Great post, the longer I walk on this earth the more truth I find in the cliche "perception is reality."
Getting rid of selfishness is going to get rid of "most" problems. That still leaves the one "big" one; death. Religion has not figured it out, science has not figured it out, governments are not interested in figuring it out. What sayeth the priest(ess) of "attraction" ? Are you going to get rid of your most pressing problem by simply thinking you will somehow avoid it ? The "law of attraction" does not exist. If it did, no one would die, because just about no one wants to die. The simple evidence that death happens to everyone invalidates the "I-can-think-it-will-go-away-and-it-will" crowd.
Just because people's lives come to a natural conclusion doesn't mean that the law of attraction can't govern your life between birth and death.
