I'm now thinking the cycle is more to do with days of the month. My earnings seem to start off poorly but pick up by the end of the month. Towards the end of each month I usually get the best earnings so far in a single day but this can be any day from Monday to Sunday. I'm thinking it could be down to advertisers who have something left in their monthly advertising budgets and spending it where it can do some good and is easily spent - ie in PPC but specifically adsesne
That's as good a theory as any I've seen More sites in different niches is the way to go - then you'll have a more evenly balanced flow of adsense revenue
I have found that content plays a big role in which day of the week is more productive. My employment related sites get the most action Mon-Wed, and a little on Friday. Media and news sites are extremely busy on Mondays and Saturdays. Anything that targets teenagers however is unpredictable. Teens seem wary of AdSense in my experience: So you could be busy all week with clicks, or dead as a door nail. I've had five dollar days, and five dollar months.
@1associate: What is your site about? We don't need the specifics. Maybe I can share if we do anything similar here. tx
Depends on the type of site. For example my personal shopping sites earn more on the weekends when people are off work.
My questions is how do we use these data? I don't analyze any data unless I know how to use the result of the data. Why bother to spend knowing more that I need. Ignorance is bliss, there is truth in that.
Days ending in "y" are usually fairly decent for me Onera...how do we use these data? Trends for one. I don't really look at each day by itself although I threw it together to answer the OPs question. I use the data more to define a natural range of variability and if I notice something going above or below that range for a period of time, then it's time to start investigating.
Saturday, Sundays, Monday are my best days... with Sunday being the best. But obviously it vary depending on the keyword, industry, target market, etc.
I don't have one site but many sites with various topics. I also have about 4,000 articles and they have an extremely wide spread. This could be why I can't predict which day is going to make most money. I have another theory now based on the fact that my earnings are greater at the end of the month than the beginning. This is to do with adwords spend and advertisers putting any excess budget into adwords for the last two weeks...

Back when I was running adsense on my first website, my best days were Tuesday's and Wednesday's. It usually topped off to about $10 dollars per day - sometimes a little more. But I don't use adsense anymore. I prefer banner ads that are paid for on a monthly basis now. Regards Vahid Lancaster (my domain and me are the same)
