One of the easiest way to build credits is to get a credit card :)

You need to apply for credit cards..they'll probably reject you (since you don't have a credit history) and that's when You could get a resitricted credit card...what you do is when you have your bank account you basically put in some deposit to get a credit card and that's how you'll get a credit history. At least the way it works in Canada and should be the same there as well. Just go talk to your bank...they'll sort it out for you.

Again what with I said earlier and what everyone said after me. You won't easily get a credit card. Applying for them is usless too. Have another guy who has a credit card to give you his backup signature or w/e is called. Or if you go on google and type in credit cards, you'll come across some sites that you can pay like 20 bucks a year (once) to get a credit card, I know few people who actually had to do that.

Another tip which I originally posted into that credit card statement, even if you don't have a credit card, find a guy (family, cousins, friends?) that can sign it for you. The company will give you the car trusting on that other guy, as long as the person has good credit.

This is exactly what the dealer told me, find a co signer and we will give you this HEMI POWERED Chrysler 300 but I am too shy to ask family members for help like this.

That was the 1 step I needed to drive this BEAUTIFUL car!!

How can you be shy to ask from family.. I won't go on to personal relationships.. But there is no way you can do it, unless you bring your own credit with credit card, and trust me it takes 2-3 months to build it. Just go ahead and ask your family members, and see what they gotta say about it, they might have an better idea or better understanding about all this, I hope you get that car soon, it looks good. My dad bought me my car this year, cause I am only 16.

This is a serious reply. Get a CC, spend like crazy, charge everything BUT pay the amount due in full at the end of each month. Let one carry over once or twice if you want but never more than once before paying to zero.

If you get credit card, its great. Otherwise best option is to get restricted credit card and start paying for everything with it (breakfast, lunch, coffee...every single penny), pay it off at each billing cycle.

When I came to US, I got lucky to get credit card within 15 days (I had CC in India and Citibank here gave me brand new credit card based on it).
