I have noticed a lot of websites, particularly Mashable, have started using Google Buzz as a means to market their articles and gain followers. Has anybody tried this with any success?
Still sticking w/ Twitter. I looked at Buzz - not impressed. But I do think it will eventually grow...
I don't think that Google is still up with their Buzz critics. They are still updating the way Buzz is going with privacy breach. This is why i haven't used anything as of yet...
Google Buzz looks like it is poised to make an immediate impact–unlike Google Wave which has kind of fizzled after so much initial hype.
Google buzz is just new, but I think it is very promising. It is very useful especially if you use your Google mail often. Interaction with other buzzers are also faster as ompared with facebook and twitter.
I say why not use Google Buzz? It's not going to hurt to add it to your site and it gives people that do use it an opportunity to share your content through another social networking outlet. Don't place limits on your website. Google Buzz needs some work but it's here to stay. Don't wait to get in the game.
Google made some errors in judgement when they launched, but no real technical problems. Here's my thinking: Mashable has an Alexa rank of 384 and is pulling in roughly $165,000 per month in advertising. They jumped on the Google Buzz bandwagon as soon as it launched. We can all learn from the big dogs because they're successful for a reason. It's not going to hurt to use Buzz, in fact, it's only going to help, so why not?
I haven't signed up for Buzz yet because I heard about the privacy issues. To be honest, it's kind of a pain that new social networks keep emerging. It's like an evolution, and we keep having to move our information to new sites and maintain so many networks. On the flip side, it's also a good thing too, because the more networks, the more reach you have. I just hope that Buzz will attempt to offer something new and unique besides just another status update or place to upload photos.
I use it for my local business and I've had some replies. It's free and it gets your name out there locally. Makes sense to me.
One of the only reasons I would market with/ join Buzz is because of 'name brand' and hopefully that give sites linked to within Buzz greater advantage within Google's rankings. I would hope it would play favorites to its own social network hahaha ..just my 2 cents
I think, Google Buzz can't beat twitter. Moreover, it requires more features unlike twitter. I don't know why , but I don't like BUZZ.
Well, it brings traffic same way twitter does. There's even a google buzz exchange(like stumble exchange) here http://comradez.net/googlebuzz
Hey, that site's cool. I'd never heard of it before. I bookmarked it and will definitely use it for promotion. Thanks. Rep +
it's already full of SPAM, much more than Twitter. Also if you use Twitter and link it to Buzz, so it's like using BuZZ for marketing
