0% isn't a good bounce rate; it's a perfect bounce rate. If you have a 0% bounce rate, I would assume you also have had 0 visitors to your website.

    0...LOL.

About 40 to 60%, however it depend on what your website is. More important how targeted or prepared is your traffic to know whats on the page.

Ok, but what if you have a site that offers pertinent info. Addresses and phone numbers, hours and dates, or possibly the cost of something. In such a case, wouldn't a high bounce rate (60% or so) be a good thing? It would mean people found what they wanted, read it and left.

Higher is never better. They would come on your site and goto the contact page, there not being a bounce rate. It may impact it, but I would not be proud of it.

Get a bounce rate under 20% is good, anything over 35% is cause for concern, 50% (above) is worrying.

A good way to have a bounce rate under 50% is to take a look at what keywords people are using to get to a particular page and make sure the information on that page is relevent to the keyword. If it is not relevent, then you aren't providing the information those particular visitors are looking for.

    All the best,

    Joy

Joy, what if people actually FIND the info they are looking for. For example, the time a restaurant is open or the time of a movie? This really puzzles me. I have a bounce rate of 60% and am not proud at all, but I *think* people are finding info about the keyword they are using. What do you suggest (anyone, I mean).

Most internet users have no patience. If they can't find what they are looking for immediately, they move on. Some explore and even read, but most just skim a page for the answer, so they may miss it even if it's there. So if you "privide a quick answer", they move on happy, if you don't, they still move on. We can't control peoples behavior.

hmm.. dont know anyone who thinks its good when someone comes to their site, read something and then leave immediately.... if thats how you develop your website, you may want to reconsider what your doing.

under the 20% to 0.0% is the gud bounce rate of the website, bounce rate is the term used in web site traffic analysis, this % count of visit where visitor enters and exits at the same page without any other pages viewing on the site in between time..
