[Clickbank] Beginner Journal - Article Marketing Yesterday I have made a post on DP about my earnings at article marketing so far. I have asked for some answers on my questions there and it has brought some great eye openers for myself. With the advice, tips, my experience in article marketing so far as a beginner and everything else I found on this forum I thought it might be useful to come with a beginner journal from a beginner like me. Every time I saw someone making their first sale I always thought: "If they can do it, I can do it too" This might sound really superficial, but I am sure most beginners are and have been thinking this way. So with this beginner Journal I think beginners at article marketing can identify themselves with me and have an even better view on what is possible and what might not.(of course this can vary from person to person) I hope this journal will give starting article marketeers like me a lot of information to succeed in article marketing and an even bigger compulsion to start with it. Without a doubt I will make (beginner) mistakes, so hopefully everyone can learn from this or help me out. I will be very thankful when someone is able to give helpful feedback on my journal and progression. This way I can work on possible mistakes and be able to improve anything necessarily. Negative feedback is also positive for my progression, so please blow me away with it. Lets get started now. Picking Products Today and Tomorrow I will pick 3 products from clickbank. When I found 3 suitable products, I will do keyword research for them and start writing 5 articles p/day. For example: Day 1: 5 articles for product 1. Day 2: 5 articles for product 2. etc. etc. I will do this for 2 or 3 weeks and see how each product bring sales. If a product doesn't convert after 2 or 3 weeks, I will replace it with another one. I will update the products progression every day so you will have a better view on my progression. Promoting products I will use ArticleBase to submit my articles. After having them approved, I will social bookmark and backlink them. My main articles will directly link to the vendor page, so I will not use any landing pages yet. This might be stupid But I want to build everything from nothing. You can think of free promotion methods and from the earning I make, I will extend this "business". But I will leave that for now. Working schedule I will be working on this from monday - friday. These days I will write articles and certainly update this journal with my progression. Saturday will be my off day. I will probably post some progression in sales or whatever else here, but I can't guarantee anything on this day. I won't be working on writing articles, submitting, bookmarking etc. for sure. Sunday evening I will be working again and be available on this forum. Possible Goal for now When I started thinking of making this journal I wasn't in for setting up goals. I thought it was better to show any progression I make and give me and other people the possibility to learn from it. But after all I think it is something useful. It will show my progression in great lines with this, so I will set it on a really beginner amount for this month. Although, I think it is a beginner amount. Goal for March: $ 250 I think this is enough information for my journal so far. Hopefully everyone can understand my meaning of it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. Any feedback is welcome
Good luck - I think that as long as you do actually stick to your simple goal of writing and posting unique articles then you will reach some level of success, and at the end of a couple of weeks you will of gained so much knowledge and experience from this alone that you will be in a better position for your next couple of weeks - you will know what works and what doesn't a bit more and be able ot refocus your efforts, try a couple of slightly different things, perhaps different directories etc. I would always recommend making your own site though too - stick to your plan and test your articles out, but get your own sites setup, even if they are just blogger blogs, or squidoos or whatever for now. Good luck!
I wish you luck with this however I will say that you should start building a list now, you can still do it all from nothing you could even use free site builders until you know if the niche converts. Start as you mean to go on I think if you really keep it up $250 will be very easy to do in a month at this rate. Good Luck. Chris
good luck! but remember landing pages / review products converts more than just redirecting traffic, so it worth the effort
Any particular reason why you're using ArticleBase over ezinearticles? No offense intended, just wondering. I'm actually thinking of trying that site, never tried submitting any articles to that site, but I've seen a few articles on that site ranking high for some terms I've searched up lately.
ArticlesBase is my preferred article directory as well. EzineArticles has been terrible lately with the ridiculously long approval times, rejection for no reason at all and overall lack of support. AB, on the other hand, offers auto-approval after 20 or so articles are approved, approval times before that are usually within a few hours to a day and it has proven to rank extremely fast and well for me, too. Personally I think EzineArticles' days are numbered. They're taking too many steps to kick out their main source of publications - affiliate marketers. Not to mention AB allows links within the body, not just an author bio box.
Thanks for explaining. Much appreciated. I'm convinced. Looks like I'm moving to AB.. Sorry for going slightly off-topic, diavolo.
thanks for all of the replies so far I can’t reply with a quote on everyone’s post, as that would make this a long thank post already but I read every single post on this thread and I am thankful for them! I will consider making landing pages as many already mentioning this. Thanks for this. I didn’t get into ezine yet, because they seem to take some time approving articles. Brada7x explained this for that part. Thanks brada7x.
You can always submit just a couple at a time to EZA and before long you will have a rolling list of articles on there which are going live / going to go live in a day / in a couple days etc, once you post 10 there they will upgrade your account and youll appear faster I like Base, they can rank really well and bring traffic but remember they are NOFOLLOW - EZA do on the other hand do give DOfollow links - so if you just want traffic I think either is fine, if you want a little link-love then you won't get that from Base..
Thanks for this information. Submitting a few articles each week or after some days on eza does sound like a good plan. I use AB for my main articles. I use other article directories to build backlinks. This way I will get this main article rank higher in SE.
EZA is really fast now.Try submitting 10 unique articles. With your goal of 5 articles per day you can do it within 2 days.I did not know the dofollow part of EZA.
I have not seen anyone mention "GoArticles". They have worked well for me! Articles have been published very quickly, within a few hours and sometimes almost instantaneously. I have also found that when I use "Mixx" to bookmark, the Mixx links are indexed in Google very quickly! You have a good plan! Keep up the good work! Success will attend!
I will stick to my main plan first. But I will submit a few articles p/week to EZA and see how it works. I will give progression from this in this thread too Thanks Harris. I am also using Mixx. Nice to know Mixx is indexed in google quickly!
Progression Products I have one product which I am sure of to promote. For the other 2 products I am not sure yet. Today I have found about 4 products which are suitable for me. 2 of them have GRAV between around 5.00 and 60.00 and with some nice GRAV improvements last week. The other 2 are between 60.00 and 120.00 Also with nice GRAV improvements. I am not sure which two will result in better results according to stats. I think high GRAV products are with more competition.. But sales also depends on keywords, article style, writing etc. And I do prefer writing for two of the products more than the other ones. This because I am more interested in them. Maybe this is a little vague, but hopefully someone can give advice here. Thanks
Thanks for the information. how about other socialbookmark like stumbelupon or digg? i think digg is more popular than mixx? thank you
Yeah I think it's too vague but other peoples advice is limited here anyway, and what might work for one person may not for another, the only way to tell for sure is to test the products out - I think you have a decent approach to picking them - with decent enough gravity, but you understand what it is and that gravity doesn't guarantee conversion - after 10-20 articles on each you will see what is getting better clicks and hopefully conversion too and be able to adjust your efforts from there
I am not sure. I use all of them and haven't checked which one could be more popular. My feeling says Digg, because I always knew Digg was out there until I got into article marketing. Hehe, I already thought it was too vague. I got to find this out for myself then. Every piece of information will help me and hopefully others further
Update I have left the last 4 products I talked about behind and kept on searching for possible better products. After some time I have found 2 more products which made my thoughts on searching for products somewhat different now. One of them hasn't got any GRAV signs yet, but seem to have a very low competition rate. I have checked it for keywords and it has around 40.000 searches on some keywords each month. When I search for this on google with "" I only get around 8.000 results so I think this one is worth trying. By finding this product, I think I just stumbled upon something useful. After doing some searching on the clickbank marketplace I really found some nice products which have a really low competition.. This might result in something better than big competition products with high GRAV which you will always see on top of everything at clickbank. The upcoming 2 weeks will show what happens
