Top five dofollow Article Directories. Submit to Top Five or 500 directories?

Hi people I believe this topic has been brought up countless times, but let's keep this thread clean by focusing on these 2 points:

    1. What are your top five DOFOLLOW article directories (based on hands-on experiences please)?
    2. Does submitting all your unique articles to a hand-full (5 and below) of article directories outperform submitting one UNIQUE article EACH to 500 different directories?

Looking forward to your input thanks.

The ones I use the most are ezinearticles, goarticles, and article dashboard.

    I like ezine the best.

If I'm looking for an easy way to quickly post some short articles with no worries about my content I use xomba. Their links are nofollow but they get indexed fast and rank pretty well.

Hey Jericho thanks for the input. Do you submit the same amount of articles to the three directories you mentioned or more to ezine? And also are they unique articles?

Submitting unique articles to a few better directories work better than submitting to heaps of different ones in my opinion. I've been checking on the top 10 results for a few keywords I'm targeting and trying to work out why some with fewer links rank better than the ones with more etc etc, and one thing for sure is that G prefers quality over quantity. BY A LOT.
