Hi, I have noticed that if I change my website title and H1 tag from "Blue widgets, didgets, and gidgets" to "Blue widgets" my website disappears all together. Does it take some time for Google to re-index(SERP) the site after changing the page title or is it being penalized? About 2 months ago my website dropped in Google from SERP 6 to approx. 36 after I changed some alt tag descriptions. I cannot seem to regain my first page ranking. I have heard about the -30 penalty. it take some time to get your rankings back minimum 7 days........meanwhile you can submit article for your website to get it back soon on the previous rankings
Changing of title should not affect the way google sees your site, it never happened in my experience.
Yes Google need to reindex and there is also chance to lose your PR some time becouse when you will change your title and tage Google cant find ur page so that why it;s effected
Title is an important part of optimization. You will need to decide carefully what to place up there. Reindex will take around 2 weeks if you have a new site.
yes right and some time if you change your title so google take reindex some time but its not confirm if your title is good so google give you good ranking in first time after 2 or 3 time gogole will index your site after that your can get good ranking
As you mentioned here, you have changed the titles 2 months back and you site is not re indexed by Google. You need to worry about it. Try getting good quality backlinks pointing to your website. It'll take time but you will get the rank back.
