I added my Standard Chartered Shopsmart Debit Card to my Paypal account on the 26th of Feb and requested for a withdrawal of 180$ to my Debit Card account. My Paypal account shows transaction completed but it shows "withdraw to Credit Card" when actually its my SCB Debit Card related to my Savings account. This is what Paypal Reports says: Subject: You have sent $180.00 USD to Credit Card with PayPal Withdraw from: Visa Card XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX This transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL *xxxxxxxx". Surprisingly Rs.1 got debited from my SCB Account as well the day I requested for the withdrwal. Can anyone please confirm how the Debit Card withdrawal works and how much time it takes?
I am also on same boat, I have done a transaction on 22nd feb still didn't get money yet in my bank account i have CORP BANK VISA DEBIT CARD...don't know what 'll happen
Nothing happens, i.e debit card transfer may not be possible for pp in India, as far as i know. But if its (v)cc its possible. cc transfers are made 3-4 (working)days only, pl post any update.. SL// XX
I think you will loose that money.. I lost 38 $ when i withdraw on my debit card. I had already posted a thread about not taking any unusual step for withdrawing. T_D
I requested a withdrawal of $500 to my union bank visa debit card on 23rd, still waiting for funds to be credited in my account. Today is holiday, may be i can see funds in my account tomorrow.
I don't know how you say that we will loose money!! Paypal transaction record says its complete and if we do not get funds in our accounts we can always appeal.
If its not possible in India how on the 1st place then Paypal accepts the addition of the Card to its acccount and then allows the withdrawal process. My worries are : 1)Why is it showing as a Credit CAard when I transferred to my Debit Card? 2)Why that 1Rs.debit from my Savings Account? 3)How will it get credited? Will it reflect in my Savings Account for which I have the debit card?
even i havent recieved it...that moron will be responsible who told us the IOB and corp bak cards work...
I also withdrew $55 to y SBI Visa gold card from paypa. in digital point, i see a guy that who withdraw money to his SBI Visa Card and he got it in 7 days, hope we'll get the money without any problems.
I have done a withdrawal transaction on 22nd feb to my DEBIT CARD but still didn't get the money yet....don't know whats going on...
Well You Withdraw on your OWN RISK .... Even i did and lost 38$ .... withdraw on 18 feb... and it havnt credited to my bank ... So .... i guess i will move on Do not use this method which will not work. T_D
@sangs Sorry was forgot to update here but i have created one thread for this information and yes i got the money in my bank account yesterday evening... you can check my new thread for this...http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1716984 --cheers
Thats great news. In fact what a coincidence as I also got my money credited in my Bank yesterday. So atleast this Debit Card thing works peacefully.
U are wrong about generalizing that Debit Card transfers don't work in India.. I have successfully withdrawn $450 to my SBI Yuva VISA Debit Card.. The money got credited in my Bank a/c on 5th day after I clicked withdraw on Paypal.. I got a better currency conversion rate.. My story in detail is here -- http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1677414&p=13705179#post13705179 PS --> I only recommend this for SBI Debit card holders (the VISA card.. not the one with Maestro logo) because I have confirmed with SBI officials on how it works.. Also, the debit card should be already added to your paypal account, you can't add it now.. Other card holders can try, but not on my liability
