Id say now its time to wait a week, or until you make a new post and its indexed by google. See if you still have the same problem.

Well, I don't know exactly how Bing's algorithm works, but what I would advise is pretty standard across the board: On page optimization (Title, Keyword Density onpage, H1 tags etc.), and Build Links (Profiles, Blog Comments, Link Exchanges, Link Wheels, etc.) After a while you should see your rankings climb on Bing, along with Google and Yahoo if your doing everything right.

I would advise self hosting your domain. When you have wordpress host your site, you cant use a custom domain (your a subdomain of wordpress). Try Hostgator, or Godaddy for cheap hosting (Although im sure there are cheaper ones, those are the ones i'm used to). They dont care which company you use to host your site though.

Waht about domain name, how much of a factor is this in rankings?

For example, how important is it to get the precise domain name for a specific query? is there much difference between say MortgageLasVegas and MortgagesInLasVegas if you're looking to capture the Mortgage Las Vegas term?

Also, how about Dashes and order? MortgageLas-Vegas (dash at end) better that Mortgage-LasVegas(dash at start)? or does LasVegasMortgage (correct KW's but wrong order)trump them both?

The domain is definitely important, but at a certain point it doesnt really matter. If your going for a keyworded domain, the perfect keyword .com is obviously your first choice. Then I would go with the keyword w/ an extra small word. Most people would choose the hyphen'd domain, but nobody ever types them in so your going to blow all the re-vists via type in.

How about registration length? Is this very important? is a 5 yr reg going to rank you better than a 1 year? If so, how much of a factor is it?

    Hi,

I have a article based web site having over 50 articles. Already i have done my On-page optimization. Now i want to do a off-page optimization. i'm targeting one long tail keyword per article(deep linking). Already i have submitted my 50 articles in to 10 social book marking web sites. What are the other methods i have to follow?

    thanks

Registration length is very important aswell. The longer the domain has been registered, the quicker you can build a ton of links without getting sandboxed. When you say a 5yr reg vs a 1yr reg, its a hard scenario to create because these sites normally wont have the exact same onsite seo and backlinking. There are a thousand different minute things that factor into ranking, but a longer reg time is definitely a benefit.

You should include hyperlinks within your articles with the anchor text as your longtail keyword. If your just going to make articles and publish them, I would say that its a good method, just keep at it and do it for a long time and you should be good to go ;)

Thats a hard question. In the overall scheme of things, those two things are so similar i doubt it would make any difference at all.

You increase PR by getting people to link to your site. Thats called an Inbound link. Whenever somebody puts yoursite.com on their website in a hyperlink form, google will credit you for 1 backlink. You want to get as many backlinks as possible to increase your PR. Getting links from sites with higher PR are better for your site then sites with lower PR.

Also you want your links to have an anchor text. In the hyperlink, make the anchor text your keyword, that will help with ranking on google.

You can get traffic to your site tons of ways. SEO is one, but you can also create marketing campaigns on youtube, twitter, post on forums (Signature), Digg posts, Press Releases, PPC programs on facebook and adwords etc.

If your talking about links, there is no set number. Thats because 1. Higher competition keywords = harder to rank. 2. All links are not created equally. You need to get links that are High PR and relevant to your website. The more relevant the better, the higher PR the better (Relevancy is more important).

If your talking about simply getting in google (indexing) then it will only take 1 good link (put it in your sig) or 1 digg post and your website will be in google, but it wont be ranked very high.

I would suggest hosting your site with your own host (but you would lose all the backlinks to the .blogspot).

The other thing i would recommend is time, and to continue link building. Keep doing it and you will see results, trust me.

Im not sure there are different types of anchor text. You should only have one anchor text per link, dont do like Keyword 1 | Keyword 2 ... It should be in context like "So I went to the park yesterday and saw the most beautiful pigeon that was eating food on the ground" (if pigeon is your keyword, not sure why it would be lol, first thing that came to mind)

Bing indexes the same way Google and Yahoo do, just slower. For some reason Microsoft search engines index a lot slower.

They will find your site by backlinks, so start link building and they will find you eventually. You can also go to bing and submit your site, but I dont know how much that helps.
