its really hard to say. all depends on how many links you built per site, how many of them you are getting credit for, quality of the backlinks, relevancy, and more importantly how competitive you niche is. you can get a non competitive term ranked within a week or two where a highly competitive term will require 6+ months of continuous link building.
But I have done lot of link building there. Links form PR pages also . So it generally take 6+ months ??
It all depends on the competition of the keyword you are targetting. Also you should do the link building slowly. So that the links looks natural to the search engines.
Natural link building is helpful, but it's not required. I say don't worry about how soon, just keep up what your doing and the rest will come naturally. This is how Google likes it anyways, keep adding new content and building backlinks and Google will pick up on this... so will all the Search Engines.
It really depends on search volume of your keywords so it's hard to say how many months they will rank on top 10.
No offense, but it has absolutely nothing to do with search volume and everything to do with how competitive the keywords are. To the original poster: You can assess competitiveness by checking out how many results Google returns for the given keyword. Anything below 10,000 is of relatively low competitiveness, and things get tougher from there. Of course, this kind of assessment is very approximate. What really counts is how many SEO-optimized results correspond to the keyword.

If it's a new website, it need 15 days or more to show your website in the list but the keyword always ranked not well firstly. Google will include your new pages once you publish your web.
Its all depend on the competition of your keywords. But my personal thoughts it will take a time span from 3-6 months.
If it's a blog, and one that google loves aka blogspot or wordpress, I have got results in 1 minute: 1st page, top10. 6 out of 10 times...
These All Depends On Your keywords. If The compitation is high on your keywords. this take time. otherwise the result will be came in 3+ Months......
I agree, it has nothing to do, however I think that a high search volume will surely have lots of competitive keywords, it's all linked.
I hope you are not aiming for those "make money online" keywords! You will need to work extremely hard to get it rank on top.

Its Not hard but its need time and depends on your Keyword Analysis funda how competitive and How SEO friendly your URL is.
I completely agree this. It is hard to tell you how long and building links quickly will be considered as spam. That is bad for SEO efforts
