Need VPS Help

I've got a forex automated program (forex adviser), which requires a 100% uptime. I've been suggested to buy a VPS. The only thing I need it for is to run metatrader4, so Windows server I guess. I usually give hosting advices but this time I need someone with this particular experience.

    regards, daniel.

    Hello,

Looking at other websites*, the minimum VPS ram that you need to start MetaTrader is 256MB, but 512MB is recommended. MetaTrader can run under Wine (which means it can run under Linux), so you might want to get a Linux VPS instead of a Windows VPS (unless you want to pay higher prices or need Windows). * [1] [2]

    Hope that helps.

I can confirm that. Have had someone use MT4 on a VPS through WINE. Not sure how far he got though, he still has service with us. So it's very possible. If you're budgeted, then going with a linux server will save you money as you wouldn't have to worry about the windows license .

If you are going to use Cpanel add extra 128MB of RAM into it. Cpanel will eat up that. I would not recommend you having the smallest VPS ever. What I can recommend you is something bigger. Why? Because soon as your project grows you will need something another.
I believe you are not interested move from VPS to VPS quite often?
