Hello everyone, I'm thinking about buying Windows 7, or upgrading to it. I am currently using Vista, but what are the main advantages of Windows 7 over Vista, for designing, gaming, coding, making videos/audio? I'm just curious because most people prefer Windows 7 to Vista, but I want to know why. Also, I own an operating system that's fourteen times better than Windows 7. It's called Windows 98 Thanks in advance.
It's a bit faster. But, that also depends on your hardware setup. If you've got a REALLY old computer, expect to have a slow computer no matter what operation system you have. Yugo,
I've got a quite modern computer but I mainly use my very-up-to-date laptop. So it's faster, that it? I've read some of the other threads but didn't get exactly what I wanted.
It is a bit faster and Microsoft boasts that is the more secure version of Windows ever. If features an improved version of Aero and gives you the possibility to run older apps and integrate them seamless into your desktop by using XP Mode. Boot time also seems to be improved along with the time in which the computer resumes from standby. I think that the only way you will know for sure if you like it or not will be to try it.
Well Vista was the most secure since it didn't let anything happen ¬_¬ I don't know what Aero is, but what it seems to be from what I see is a faster Vista... Is it really worth the money though?
much more faster, the toolbar has some new nice features, it has a better images gallery and few minors functionalities. Speed and less bugs are the reasons why you should move
like it better than vista as it's much faster. Still, i am using XP as there're some program i am using not compatible with it Hmmmm...I am still an old timer lolz~

If your motherboard are new (about 1 or 2 years ago), you only need to install windows 7. You do not have to install any drivers that consuming a lot of time and although it has some problems such as some softwares can not install, Windows 7 is still better than Vista so much.
