Many people and SEO companies have been sure to say google caffeine has already been implemented. I have never had the same view. I can now confirm that Google caffeine is stil being tested at one datacentre only* FEB 26th: A Google spokesperson tells Search Engine Land that Caffeine is still live at only one data center, and says “we expect to roll it out to all data centers over the coming months.†“We run lots of tests with this big a change to our infrastructure,†the Google spokesperson says. “We want the new system to meet or exceed the abilities of our current system, and it can take time to ensure that everything looks good.â€
so can't you understand that google caffine is still live at one data center only and they not disclose that which data center is that, just go and read complete article at search engine land.
Hi Jasn009 it's hard to understand your broken english. Maybe you should read my post again, or get someone who can speak better english to help you.
That's not good. I thought it had kicked in and that was the reason for my sites dropping. I don't think I can afford to drop anymore when the updates come.
Ha ha, noobville. Caffeine was generally an update to the way Google crawls the web, however the algorithim changes were a small part of the Caffeine roll out, and for many we have experienced the algorithim changes of Caffeine. So when a spokesman says Caffeine has not be fully rolled out yet, he is probably telling the truth, however the algo changes have been rolled out. Adam (not from noobville).
Thank you for the info either way the point is Google are always improving their algorithm. Would be nice to know the data center running caffeine live to compare.
So it is still coming? There is a comparison website http://www.comparecaffeine.com/ which looks good for some of our sites in serps but is this actually going to be the results? Hope this helps.
I have just been reading some stuff from google and they reckon that the datacenter where caffeine is live 50% of the time is 209.85.225.103 but the results seem the same.
Per his keynote speech at SMX West yesterday, March 3rd (during the Q&A session) - Peter Norvig confirmed that Google Caffeine has only rolled out to 1 data center to date ... So I guess we're still in what Mr. Cutts calls the "post-holiday" phase of the Caffeine update. This reverses what I thought was already happening with SERPs .. one thing I'm still unclear about is how many data centers it will eventually roll out to. If you know more about the topic, please post. Cheers!
Yeah, I've never heard of Google Caffeine before either. Now I've read an article and it seems to an improved version of the regular Google search engine. It shouldn't bother and affect regular users. Why is everyone so excited while Google was doing the fixes and updates under the hood from since they were created?
I would assume it will eventually roll out to every Data center. Remember, the primary reason for Caffiene is to produce faster results (speed), not changes in SERP's. SERP changes will continue to change as they always have.
Matt Cutts, confirmed yesterday on a live feed that yes caffiene is only on one data center. He said " that they are being cautious about rolling out caffeine"
Been a while since I posted one of these. I looked at my stats today and noticed a few large spikes of traffic. When i did a search for some major keywords that I know are different I noticed that http://74.125.95.132 had the same results as http://209.85.225.103 (Official Caffeine Data Center). So it seems like the Serps changes seen in the Caffeine Data Center are again being tested on another live server. Anyone else notice anything? Also just found the same thing here http://66.102.7.18
Hope Google can provide more information about Google Caffeine before it is completely live worldwide. Now everyone is just guessing on the change in algo
