This is unprofessional. Go for a good autoresponder

to success in email marketing, you should build a blog or website, then installing autoresponder script to get subscribers, then you can promote products in to your own subcribers..using spam is not allowed for any reasons in any affiliate networks.

If you try to use email marketing software with your Google or Yahoo mail accounts you will find both services limit the number of delivering requests, same as they deny access if you try to deliver via 127.0.0.1 aka localhost

stick with the main services mentioned above. unless of course you are semi-spamming -- there are automated tools out there to use gmail and yahoo emails for this purpose, but to be honest, it is not worth the trouble.

I'm looking for alternatives right now, myself, so I just thought I'd throw in my .02

Aweber will give you your first month for $1, after that it's like $19 up to a certain number of addresses on the list (250, I Think, but don't quote me on that, check aweber's site), and more after that.

You can invest in a script that you can run either from your own web server, your own desktop or your web host, but they can be a bit pricey. Your web host likely has an autoresponder built into your cPanel, but, as I learned the hard way, they limit the number of emails that can go out per hour.

There are some free autoresponder services, but they typically force an ad of their choosing into your sent messages.

    good luck!

Aweber is probably the easiest to get the hang of, and it's free and most marketer's I know use it. Mailchimp is another option, it's very professional although it does cost money

Aweber is very good and easy to navigate. Mailchimp is good for starting out if you don't have the finances to start with...It's free for your first 500 opt ins. Then later you can transfer them to an account like Aweber.

I'm sorry... since when? Aweber is not free, to my knowledge.

Now THIS sounds like a reasonable option. Is the transfer process from Mailchimp difficult? thanks for sharing this!

Mailchimp is a good one if you are in search of auto responder.
But if you really wanna use mail accounts, i would suggest Yahoo!

Hotmail is the new industry leader for mailing, creating PVA's, and craigslist posting. Though of the 2 asked above gmail is harder to keep alive and yahoo is more more captcha'd. So its like flipping a coin.

What exactly is an autoresponder? Or an autoresponder script?

using Get Response as an auto responder is quite good i have used it and swear by it.

When using e-mail marketing you defiantly need an auto responder this helps greatly as you can develop a good relationship with your customers and keep them up to
    date of anything new.
