I see his point, I think he means it brings focus to what matters - people's posts, in place of their advertisements - avatars, locations, signatures, usernames - which is not good for people's advertising It has that effect on me anyway.
you want me to explain lacks clarity tooo... Now the site is totally dull. The variations between the background color and text is not much....it should not be too high.. but appreciable so that the text gets full attention. don't you see the site is totally pale. I agree after one week i will be used to it...lol
I just logged in and thought WTF happened to DP! I know I'll have to get used to it, but what is disappointing is the dull look. It's looks like a website in 1980, but with "web2.0" capability??? Oh well...
This theme contains Green on Green which makes it hard to read. SHould consider changing the colors a little bit. Try something like Black on Green, or a a dark color on top of the light green which will make the text easier to read. After all isn't that the most important thing?
I got a total shock when I logged in as I wasn't expecting DP to go 4.0... However I guess we'll get used to it. Would be cool if they kept a classic skin so us old die hards could still use something similar to the old one lol...
Don't worry.. It'll look as cool as the old one as soon as you get used to it (But again, something should be done with the new smilies, they are very small )
The new theme is very difficult to navigate site and also the 'Forum Jump' feature is missing which was very useful.
Actually its something very new for everyone! with the passage of time everyone would get aware of it
That's why I got that "Maintenance message" ... Anyway, on first click, I thought you changed DP to phpBB .. It looks very similar to that script now, but I really like the new look Not bad at all, the old one was classic, new one is modern with it's new rounded corners, great green gradient ...
