Why not... Make the video with the keywords in the title in the description. Then link the video where every you can using the same keywords.
yes its pretty easy by comparison to trying to do it with your own site as Youtube is such a powerful domain. just do exactly as jiggig says, it wont take too many decent links.
for sure its possible. actually it would be easier to rank a YT video on top 5 compared to ranking a bran new domain for same keyword. YT domain authority itself will help a lot. you need to optimize your video by using keyword rich title, description, and dont forget to take proper advantage of the tags. if you get get some views, comments, and ratings on your video, then it will surely help you get ranked on the front page of YT which will in turn help you get better ranking on google. if it is a competitive term you are targeting, then typical link building is required just as it would for a site.
Well you better fix keywords on its different metas like title, description, etc... Focus to long-tailed ones that are easy to target and dominate.
