I receive 20 odd or so poker site submissions in my web directory. I haven't allowed many as of yet but it's a growing fear that whether or not linking to a poker/gambling website is considered as a TOS violation. I believe (and hope too) that it is not seen as a violation and the post by Smindsrt gives an idea on it.

OK the official Big G line was :

I responded to them saying that the site I'm looking to build is based around the history of the game, the rules, the variations, etc. with no links to gambling sites or any gambling on the site itself. I also pointed out that there are 4 pages of sponsored links on Google so suggested it was a grey area. The response was :

So basically, to quote Kevin Costner, build it and they will come.

I just wonder if, for arguments sake, I built a site and they decided it was against TOS whether they would deduct any AdSense earnings from my account and refund them. Also whether or not it would flag me as being a potential bad boy.

Just wonder if it's worth the risk.....:(

I would not take that risk... they can ban your account without any prior notice.

Mike, as far as I think, they want to you give them a demo of your website so that they may review it.

From that reply it seems as if they wouldn't just ban you immediately without even notifying you. So, you have some hope left there.

Then again, it's better safe than sorry.

I know they won't ban me but I'm in two minds whether or not I want to appear on their radar. As you say, better safe than sorry. You only get one account so why risk it?

Google accepts advertisers paying them for adult/casino/gambiling content

Google bans publishers using AdSense in sites containing adult/casino/gambling content.

    More clear, water
