Are you going to use the new DP Blog?

I just noticed the new version of the forum comes with a linked in blog! :O

I made a blog post already, but it seems they already wiped them all - I am assuming to iron out some bugs, but I'm going to be using it - anyone else? Or has anyone already used this format on another forum? I don't know about all the features and if it will be as strong as something like blogger / wordpress in terms of use, seo benefits etc, but I like that it is linked to our forum profile..

.. I already see a few possibilities - documenting marketing / business journals, making master posts on key areas of online business, providing information about your businesses / services..

Are you all as excited as me? Do you see any other upsides? Downsides? Or have any other experiences / thoughts?

 

Ain't too sure the blogs are going to stay. Looks like the ability to post has been removed though it could be a template tweak gone wrong.

Yeah. They're still tweaking the new features with the new forum. I'm sure there will be bugs. But hopefully, they manage to make it great.

 

I'll check it out, might be a great new way to earn some money

 

i think those blogs will be used by limited people maybe staff only

Shawn was saying that its going to be a new Premium members feature.

 

I'd be a little suprised if they made it premium only - it would be a lot of extra content even if only the people who already linked their external blogs to their forum profile switched (not to mention many more people taking it up). It would benefit them a lot in terms of seo, having better quality posts on there - the ability for posts to stick in the search engines better - especially if people build backlinks to them / do other seo on them - would bring a lot of new people to the site, even get them following the blogs

 

no, I use DP as a working tool, but I have enough work with my own blogs..

 

Shawn said he may let premium members use it i guess.. but lets wait and watch.
