its really sad I saw this yesterday on Sky NEws.. he was really an interesting character and shooted some brilliant documentaties.. so sad he is not there anymore.. may is rest in peace..
ya it was one of the sad news I read today. Used to watch his show alot. All the time I used to think that these discovery channel guys carry antidotes with them
JackSmith, he didnt get poisoned he got peirced in the heart which means he basically died in secounds because of so much blood loss. I hope it wasnt to painful for him.

Personally I didn't really like the guy, but he did have a family and fund some wildlife places. I feel sad for them.
This death feels somewhat strange. He was such a cool guy. Usually I don't care if a celeb dies. But I can't stop thinking about him

Most celebrities aren't worth their weight in lead. Most famous people are famous just because they are famous, in some sort of recursive Hollywood nightmare of talentless fools. Steve Irwin was well known because of the way he lived his life. In a very simple way, we all wanted to be Steve Irwin. He lived his life without many of the restrictions which we place upon ourselves. We lived vicariously through him. And when he died, we all died just a little bit through that connection. The best way to honor Steve's memory is to live our lives according to the principles which we respected in him. Be Like Steve.
I didn't know sting rays actually used their tale to stab things. Hmm if it could get steve, no more swiming with the ray's for me... All in all though he was able to die doing what he loved.
I was thinking the same, as I have done that a lot. My wife reminded me though that it was a freak occurrence. I am still a bit uneasy about it. I guess there have only been 17 sting ray fatalities, ever. If nothing else is learned from this, it should be to live life to its fullest and live every day like it is your last!
