Suppose you lost your job today, no benefits, no unemployment. What would you do?

I just lost my job as a virtual assistant and I even resigned on my night shift job just to focus on it but he fired me because of no projects.. Sigh.. Now im looking for another job.

 

Well with no job the bank would not loan money for me to start a business to generate income quickly so I suppose I would rob the bank.

 

Yes, just kindding.. I feel life is really worth living.

 

Sounds like a plan.

For me, i would focus harder on increasing online revenue and forget about working for someone else.


Or.... take what little money that i had left and buy a ton of scratch-off lottery tickets and hope for the best.

i wouldnt mind losing a job, because its more than what I got atm

 

become a self-employed internet marketer, that's what i would do and that's what i did when i quitted my daytime job

 

I'd be druming up business in my local area, and niche marketing online. There is always a way to put food on the table and pay bills. We just sometimes get devestated when we lose our jobs and the benefits and security that comes with them.

There are also places you can go to get help. Plus there's family and friends too!

Look for another "regular" job and then work on setting your own business up on the side. GET A JOB

 

while corporate america wants employees to be specialized it is very important to have another trade or skill that you can fall back on. I happen to have several and I am apt at getting the word out about them since I am in marketing.

so if i lost my job the first thing I would do is tell my landlord rent will be late next month, next thing would be to find a squat downtown and beatup the hobos currently living there. Then i would gather rats and mice to run on wheels to generate my electricity using the alternator from my vehicle. I would then find some deep flower pots and get seeds for carrots, spinach, jalapenos, onions, and potatoes and plant them under florescent lighting. I would then make an elaborate lock on my door using a large rate and a cage maze that made the rat get into a bucket on the other side and open the door with a lever and pulley system. I would then "borrow" a truck and move all my stuff in and start working out a lot.

now with no rent or utilities to worry about I could focus my energy on getting a low paying job to generate some income to buy more carrot seeds and soap (im not gonna be a stinky hobo). I would probably take a job as a bouncer since I am a bit of a badass already but I wouldnt beat people up in the bar.. gotta take it outside and be nice. Then I would get a rep as the number one bouncer in the nation and get a great gig at some podunk town where I would meet a beautiful blonde lady doctor who falls for my strong silent typeness then I would rip out some dudes throat for trying to kill my landlord and marry the blonde girl and quit my job as a bouncer and focus the rest of my life on my true passion solving international ancient riddles to find treasure and lost civilizations and beating up nazi's.

 

I already lost my job back in December 2009, I now make more in a day than I did in 1 week at my old job (retailing) . i work with my sister, selling wholesale =) We started with just $200 each!

 

If it happen with me i will find another job for me.

 

If I were to lose my job (I am my kickass boss anyway ) probably I'd get a little upset, but I'd come here and create a new thread.

I know, there are many good people around here who'd immediately come and beat the dust (depression) off me with their confidence-boosting words, and then there will be a couple of kind guys who'd even ask what I am good at and might offer some part-time earning opportunities.

I don't know how to start my own business.
And I hate benefits and unemployment.

have to face the reality and have to start earning with your own business or spend some time to search job. i also know some persons who have lost the job but tried here at DP and they are earning here so can start searching new avenues of income at DP.

 

Trust in the Lord with all thy might and He will direct thy path. Amen.
