What is meant by DLL files?

    What is meant by dll files?

    dll files are shared library file (Dynamic-link library), akin to .so files in unix systems.

    DLLs helps promote modularization of code, code reuse, efficient memory usage, and reduced disk space. Therefore, the operating system and the programs load faster, run faster, and take less disk space on the computer.

    ASP .Net platform extensively use dll.
