Not just images... JaveScript and CSS, and CSS is being minified on the fly. Fixed. Yeah, I'm not totally happy with the forum jump menu, I'm just not sure how to change it yet. It *does* have a link to the root of the forum at the top of the menu itself (you can't make the Forum tab clickable to take you to forum and also make it have a pop up for obvious reason). You can also click on the logo above it though. There were some minor issues that more have to do with our database size more than anything... but for the most part it was pretty smooth. iTrader works as well as it did pre-vB4... required a lot of internal changes to make it scalable. I think the posts from before the upgrade aren't clickable there. It's currently in the process of rebuilding all the previous threads, and that's still running, so...
That's true Rub3x I to like the drop down menu but I also feel there is a possible navigation problem due to many not knowing the logo can be clicked onas they will be looking for a "forum" text link. May be it's just me, but I know from experience some people don't even realise such things can be clicked on, so it may be worth thinking about. Personally I would have a text link in the top nav below the drop down "forum" one that took people directly to the forum index page. Well that would be my first thoughts on a way to ease any confusion and make things easier to navigate. You know what they say about KISS LOL.
Where are the iTraders that used to display on right side of the every post....(except in freebies,but just after VB4 updation it is displayed even there) Is it an temporary updation issue ?
vBulletin 4 is horrible. You should think about switching to something much more appealing like IPB3.
I have noticed a couple of strange anomolies Shawn I tried to make a post but it took me to quick reply (when quoting someone) and I had to click twice to make an actual normal reply as it was flagging me as not having entered enough words when using the quick reply feature, which was where it first took me. When I say click twice, I mean like when you would want to edit the title of a post and not just the post content. There is another one but I can't think what it was right now LOL so will get back to you when I come across it again (heck it's getting late here Yawn).
New version and theme looks awesome but you need to change the Online/Offline icons Shawn, they are hardly visible and clear.
I agree with prilep. The current logo is ugly Eh, I will miss the old DP style... It was great form me Nice work Shawn, now the site loads faster and looks really nice Thank you EDIT: Shawn can you please change vB 4 smileys and put the old ones ?
It will be a lot faster once the search system has finished reindexing all the posts and threads in the system. Currently the database servers are working overtime to get it done.
Personally I love the new look. From a design and 'look and feel' point of view I think it's fantastic. Will take a couple of days to get used to the new format, but after that I think people will find it's a big improvement
