As I'm sure you have noticed, we are running on vBulletin 4 now. This thread will be to address any issues regarding that. First off... search doesn't work. vBulletin 4 uses a new system for search and the drawback to it is you have to rebuild your search indexes (14M posts worth), so it will take awhile. For now, you are probably going to have to use Google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=site:forums.digitalpoint.com
Congrats one the new VB version, but...I must say I am really saddened with the template change. I feel like a blind cat whose owners just moved the furniture. Well... I guess that's life...
I quite like the new updated template... looks kinda sleek. A little sadden about the search function but hiccups should be expected during a transition of this magnitude. Keep up the good work!
Were blogs disabled (and old posts deleted)? I am assuming it has something to do with the fact that it very quickly became the hottest spamming area in town?
Congrats, site looks great and there's no doubt you have made a great job today. I have a question, new blogs feature is going to stay as add-on facility we can sign for? P.S. Ignore my question, I didn't read the above two posts because I delayed hitting the thread button while browsing around.
i never thought a change would come it looks like its 2010 finally tho i had no problem with the old new can be good
It's going to be some work... will be awhile until we get it updated (will take a good amount of work).
Congrats! But how it is possible to switch to plain html somewhere in settings? My eyes just can't stay all thit fancy razzle-dazzle, sorry...
Finally with vB4.. This looks good.. Although it'll take a few days for me to adjust to the look and feel.. Will be waiting for the search index rebuild..
If you want to customize the visuals then you can always download a firefox extension called Stylish and edit the CSS to your hearts desire. Changing the spacing and font-sizing can be quite beneficial on some websites I find .
When I click reply to thread it puts the cursor in quick reply and goes nowhere. I have to click go advance to use the advanced post method. Additionally information is MUCH MUCH harder to read.
