whenever you do foreign transactions (whether it is a service or sale of goods) you are supposed to get IEC code. It is not hard to get it. it will take around 7 to 30 days and you will have to pay one time fee of Rs. 1500 (approximately) via Demand draft

why are you people getting so pessimistic? But yes, it means hell lot more problems for part time freelancers like the housewives etc, who anyways don't do enough serious work to take up all this hassle and the extra costs

this not only for part time freelancer.you may have enough money in your pocket so you are not worried for this temporary suspend and now you have also enough time for all this hassle. but just think who just got some work and invested all his money for this and right from the first month all these problem occur where he will concentrate on work or solving problem. and about extra costs who care if it is compulsory for all. yes we are afraid our system who shock all our time.

yes the system sucks .. but at least we have a system in place. Our rights to information are not actually upheld .. in fact nobody much cares ... but at least there is a solution now and yes I am thankful to God that I have enough money and am managing my work somehow but these things are enforced in this way only in India.. remember the recent mobile services related glitch in India .. they take off the oxygen first and then begin to operate on the patient

As of now... Paypal is silent on these matter as its letter only chooses to address the issue of 'direct withdrawals to bank accounts'

Finally I have what Export code is all about and how we all as an individual get one. The process is simple and you can read about them here - http://www.codeitwell.com/how-to-get-an-export-code-for-paypal-in-india.html

If you have any questions do shoot at me as I have been doing lots of research on this whole day and can share with you.

Remember after all its saturday night and so will take a while to respond.
