I have been running a personal blog, whomarc [dot] me , and I am looking for some revenue, however, I am unsure as to what type of affiliate program would complement my blog, I currently am an affiliate for tshirt hell and have been promoting it through blog posts. But can anyone point to some good affiliate program for my blog. Thank you.

Before jumping in to online marketing, I would suggest you to read as much as you can and try to interact with experienced webmasters.

I'd do a search on Clickbank and see what affiliate products you can find on there to promote. If you are looking for revenue straight up, you can also look into unrelated products, and market them using other domains as well. Just a thought if you are looking to market products, and increase earnings. :)

Do you want to waste the next 2 years only earning pennies on the dollar and wasting your time with poor affiliate programs? Why not focus on affiliate programs that have big payouts and longer term in demand products. See my signature link and contact info if you want to get started.

Try Amazon Affiliates. There are lots of products to sell - toys, MP3 songs, video games, laptops, watches, Amazon Kindle, clothes and even shoes!

Clickbank isn't a bad idea... see what they offer, and if you think you can convert something...

    Hi Whomarc,

Do you know more about your visitor demographics? Who is on your blog, why are they there and what will keep them coming back? Whenever you're looking to integrate an affiliate program, advertising or anything you'll be "selling" you need to ultimately know "who" you're selling to. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, the first step in choosing an affiliate program is defining the audience that will receive the promotion. Are they majority technology buffs? Are they elderly looking at health articles, or young guns reading some gossip? After you can define the audience, you can find an affiliate program that connects with them. For your sake use products that ALREADY have good sales and exposure, as this will help you turn prospects into commissions. Based on your audience, there are tons of niche products/resources in Amazon that will likely work.

    Cheers,
    Good Luck

Amazon and ebay are easy to promote since they are well known but don't have the best payouts. You can use google adsense ads. There's also commission junction.

CPA's offer more money but I get such poor conversions from them.

My advice is work on an email list more than anything else. That's where I wish I would have started.

There usually aren't any high dollar campaigns for blogs like this. I'd try joining a cpa network and running some email submits. I know here at CPAFlash we offer many campaigns with high payouts. Before you jump into something, research the net & gather info!

Like people have mentioned, Click Bank and Amazon Affiliate programs are an excellent source of offers. It's also a good idea to test some CPA offers from Affiliate Networks (look around these forums for a list of those). Lasty I wanted to mention Commission Junction and Share A Sale. Both of these sites have many physical prodcuts to promote and may be more relevant to your audience than the other sources listed above. My best advice would be to join all of the above and check out for yourself what offers work.

    Money follows value.

Who is your market? Why would they buy from you? What can you offer them that no one else can offer? What can you add to the visitor experience that will create enough additional value to get them to buy?

Marketing is about figuring these things out... then you sell.

Figure out who your visitor is and what they want.

If you are getting a true traffic on your blog and your blog is of tshirt than you can generate a good revenue easily just put offers in it from affilate site.
There are many affilate sites but very few which are trusty like C.J, Primaryads, azoogle etc but they approve very less affilate because they want publishers who can bring more than 5000 traffic in one day.
So other affilates have same offer but they approve other publishers as the are small as compare to this big networks. I have tried this network clickxpay.com its new but have very much attractive offers and i also have received payment of 500USD through cheque.

Yes google adsense is also a good way to earn money from traffic, CJ system is very complicated and the offers which like to use they are not approved for us. I am using clickxpay.com and having good revenue from it.
