With these latest ~$1 coupon codes from godaddy, I would start there and then transfer out in a year to the lower cost registrar.
Definitely would go with Name.com, Godaddy is such a pain in the ass with all the upsells they force you to click through when regging a name, & also in the backend when you want to modify something or transfer out a name.
Depends on what you mean by better. Name.com is cheaper and offers free Google tools, while GoDaddy offers discount coupons more often. However control panel in both registrars is something we could cry for
I use both but I prefer Name.com between the two. Godaddy interface look crowded and sluggish. - Dynashox -
I never used anybody other than godaddy. Name.com's prices seem to be too high. Only thing I don't like bout godaddy is there interface and there stupid super bowl girls. IMO godaddy's prices will fall further if they stop paying those super bowl girls.
when i try to register a domain from name.com i get that error: "We were unable to perform a successful test authorization. (I00001) The transaction was unsuccessful. This transaction has been declined" anyone knows how to solve that?
I used both of them , still I prefer hostmonster or hostgator The CP for Godaddy and name the things that I don't like most
