I was always a firm believer that irrelevant links were worthless and while reverse engineering some of my competitors I am starting to believe that they really are not worthless. I was checking out a site that ranked about 3rd for a fairly competitive term and the only back links he had were from HIGH PR (PR5-PR7) comments. His domain name was fairly new compared to everyone else on the first page. Your thoughts? He was able to use his keywords in his comments....
Now I am sure a lot of people will argue your theory, but I agree with you. Up until a few months ago, I had the same thought process as you. One of my sites is only a little over a month old. By building backlinks mainly through leaving comments on blogs I am already on the 2nd page (and I am in a competitive niche that is not make money online). While I understand for me being on the 2nd page of Google is pretty much worthless, it could be worse..I could be on the 200th page?
yes comment posting is beneficial for site and its very useful to website getting backlinks some time more comment posting and more submission not beneficial for site so better is do all activities so you can get good ranking also check your competitor all backlink some are paid bcz on 5 or 7 PR not any website get free link. if you give me your competitor website URL.
I think there are not irrelevant backlinks. Every backlink have its own importance. It can help you to got popularity, sometimes send targeted traffic to you, anyway that link will increase your visibility on the net. Even nofollow backlinks seems to have a small importance for SEO, depending on the relevance of the page where the backlink is placed.
