You're showing your ignorance by simply saying 'don't use software' - what do you think a web browser is? Oh yeah that's right, it's software that renders HTML. I'm a programmer so I understand how the submission software operates, and it basically operates AS a web browser and processes HTML, and posts data to a web server over HTTP, just as a web browser does. So saying that submission software is spam or will result in failed submissions is absolute garbage.

I bet you've not even used submission software so, just like many people on here, when you hear of 'submission software' you think you just click a button and the software mysteriously submits without you seeing anything. It doesn't work like that. You still see all of the data that gets submitted, it just makes the process MUCH faster. Watch this video and you might understand:

    http://www.submiteaze.com/demos/turbosubmitter.html

For the record, I use SubmitEaze and I have great success with it. get a very high acceptance rate, the same as if I were to do it manually, so I can honestly say that 'manual IS NOT better'. Of course if you actually want to spend days doing what I can do in an hour then good for you, but I've got better things to do with my time.

I agree here .... does submiteaze have a directory where you can add in your own engines and new directories into the software????/ im a huge fan of auto tools .... and use trafficseeker now ... although it is blasting ... It does not actually list the site in all the directories ...because whan I do A check their not in the directory ....how good is yours .... this is a huge issue ...you never know for sure if it is listing att all ....

Never use automated softwares, you will never get the best results and you and your IP can get banned. Softwares can not fiil in all requirements automatically. Do it manually,i.e. 100% manually to get the very best results. You can use Roboform, Or inform enter from firefox, or even combine the two to help you speed up your manual submissions.

If you want to use a software do it with your brains turned on. Remember that you never should resubmit your pages, SEs do not like it. And I will recommend you to create sitemaps and submit them to SEs. I use webceo to automatize all my SEO routine and to create sitemaps for my sites.

You should do both. Importance Directories with high PR and Alexa Rank you should do manually. All others you can use software. Kind of good directories link building strategy.

    Hi,
I am completely agree with other guy. Actually i have had some wrong experience with automated directory submission software. I would suggest you to submit your site manually and change your description on some interval.

You can make your own semi automated software. Automation applications like Auto IT can help. These are tools which automate various kind of software testing procedures but you can make use of it for manual submission done semi-automatically.

Here's an example showing automation of yahoo mail login....

    http://florespino.wordpress.com/2009/05/07/windows-tasks-automation-using-auto-it/

I'm posting in an old thread because this might be informative.
