    Hi. you should browse around and read all the loads of information we have here at DP.

    To start off you should build a website, make it useful, add loads and loads of content to it and submit it to search engines and directories, get links for it and promote it over the web.. and don't forget to add google Adsense ads on it. :)

    Internet marketing is a pretty vast subject and simply cannot be taught. As Rosee said. read around this forum ( search it). It is a storehouse of information.

    If you encounter any doubts or questions on the way, feel free to post em here.

    DP Forum is a great start for a beginner. Try to read as much as you can, and start experimenting with a site. Your first site should be something about you like to do. Maybe your hobby, etc. This way, you will always have interest to update/follow the site.

    good luck

    Also look at similar websites on the same topic and try and figure out what is working for them and what you might be able to improve on.

    good luck!

    Research, Research, Research.

    You can never read too much. Don't buy the first thing someone wants to sell you either. Odds are it can be found for free. If you have questions find a good place to ask. DP is a great forum and many people can help.

    Is it a blog or a website? If it is a website, make sure it has a blog, if it is just a blog, make sure you have unique content. Use digg, myspace and other social networks, they do bring in some traffic, not to mention if you come under digg attack.... my 2 cents..

    Balance your research time with your actual website building and marketing time. It's easy to spend too much time studying and too little actually using the information.

    Was that part a joke, or does it help your placement in search results?

    remember that most everybody that is very succesful on the net has done huge amounts of marketing. The guy with the "million dollar homepage" re-invested a lot of the money he was making into press releases, and other forms of marketing.

    working online is still work, dont expect to get rich quick.

    read on the forums, read books, read blogs from influental people, listen to webmaster radio shows.. absorb all the information you can about makign money with websites.

    1) Know what do you want?

    * Create Products and sell them
    * Be an affiliate
    * Build sites to make money with adsense
    * Sell services

    2) Once you choose: Learn and apply

    3) Have a plan

    4) Stick to your plan

    4,5) Focus

    5) Be patient

    6) Think that you will succeed

    7) Ask question in forums when you have a doubt, or you want advice.

    There is more, but I let other people answer too.

    LAst) Don't jump from one thing to another

    Most of us stumbled across it at some point or the other:)
    And the conversion rate ( visitors to registered members) is pretty good IMO.
