    Hey there -

The sold list came from a combination of NameJet, Sedo, Afternic, DNJournal, & GoDaddy. Some of them don't indicate from where they were sold but they are listed in the databases that house sold info. I answered more thoroughly in your inbox. Take care.

YTD - ONE SALE.. a cheapie at $75...

.. but the "keyword" in your queery is "So Far" ...
    .. and "So Far" ..ONE!
... but my 'so far' has also only been a month in the making ...
... and MY 'so far' is even surprised over that.

i never took this gig thinking fairy tale thoughts... i am actually happy about the time we still have so i can gather things a bit better.. but it's all coming so fast.. and so furious!!!

...and naturally, you still never answered the question, so your words remain hollow to me.

Your little column scenario proves nothing, btw... .. you can ask the guy who bought "3d Revolution.com" the same question at this point.. he seems like he's just sitting on that... or maybe call out to the guy who spent $2,789 on "3D-TEMPLATES.COM"... that just takes me to a dead page... what would HIS list look like? .. is THAT one of the 'truly great names' of which YOU speak? .. cool name - better than MANY other names purchased since this thread started - no way! .. look at that pjam name alone .. 3d HD LED... that's 'not a good name'?... you don't "see" ANY 'potential' in that name AT ALL? .. that was JUST posted .. on this thread .. within the last 37 days ... you would have passed on that name knowing it was available? .. i don't care that the experts hadn't bought it yet .. what about YOU?

and you KEEP mentioning 'EXPERTS' .. experts, experts, experts...
... how'd the "experts' in the banking industry do?
....how'd the experts in the government due?
... how'd the experts in the housing industry do?

Right .. "EVERYONE'S" an expert.. listen to the "EXPERT" .... do what the "EXPERT DOES"
... have no belief system of your own .. FOLLOW 'THE EXPERTS'!!!... cause they MUST KNOW EVERYTHING!!

.. enjoy your life on stings

    oh...
.. and as for your 'everybody will just call a 3d tv a tv' theory ..
    .. let me ask ya?
... how's the HD market doing these ?
.. or do we just say TV's with that also?

1,000,000 people a month can't ALL be idiots!!

We are gonna see the excitement when the first 3DTV & Movies are comming out. Before that Domainica: it's only speculation & in this economic instability no majors will invest xx xxx$ to grab "maybe" overhype domains.

I'm still very enthousiastic by the fact that ALL PS3 will be able to read 3D BlurRay disc = When the first movie will come out: Millions around the world will have the potential to watch 3D. So people will try to catch a 3D Tv to get the maximum out of it.

And even more: The porn industry will incite billions men, in the coming year, to buy 3D TV!!! :D lolll
So, if everyone screw up in the 3D universe: the Porn industry wont! It will be a major ressurection of the porn entertainement for sure.

What's next: an android to match your 3D porn movie...?

You keep saying I never answered your "question".

Which "question"? You've asked 7 or 8 in your last post.

I also answered which names I think are the real 3D gems and when they were regged (some over 10 years ago). They're in a previous post.

So, as I wrote last time (and the time before), the definition of a "successful" domain name is subjective. You've proved that by using your $20 sales analogy.

My "subjective" is different. A good way to measure which domains are garnering the most money is by watching the weekly DNJournal sales charts of the Top 20.

Any 3D names make it in there yet?

Now I know your next argument. You're going to claim that your definition of a "successful" domain name is different than mine. That regging it for $7 and selling it for $20 or $75 is still a profit.

    And you're right.

So you profited on that name. But what's your bottom line showing for all the other names you've regged and haven't sold?

And if you're saying it's too early, weren't companies announcing new 3D apps over a year ago, well before "Avatar" came out?

Over a year, and no Top 20 sales.

And you claim that 3D names will revive the domain name industry.

You claim that these names will make people a lot of money.

And you, personally, have what, a $75 sale to back that up?!

Hate to break it to you pal, but $75 ain't gonna revive nothing, and it certainly ain't gonna make anyone rich.

Wow. You pull out the very first name I ever registered back in 1997 and imply that it's representative of what I do today.

    1997!

Then, of course, you claim to represent everyone else in this thread by using the proverbial "us" to express your opinion of me.

    Finally, you delete it all.

    Mark of a class act.

PS. By the way, I've also got RatsAss.us, Bangability.com, AnothaBrotha.com and others, just 'cuz I like the way they sound. No other reason.

    Hey dude,
do you read me or what? I just responded to all your arguments you posted on the last pages, but you never respond. Do you see any big movie domains name that where snatch in the last year...? People aren't relying that 3D will be popular before they see it for real = 2-3 weeks before release...

Yeah, it's a hype: like IPAD. I can betya that the 3D gadgets will sell at millions, but Ipad...not as much for sure. But you would bet on this crap? Maybe not, but there's a hole bunch of people that would! Why, because of Apple constence on the market in the last years. But how did all the techs in the last year: they all went down in there sells: except Apple. But does this mean IPAD will be a large succes? Does this mean that IPAD is a better investment then 3D in the domain market ? No, it just means that the majors are waiting before wasting there time & money in this unstable global economy.

If your saying that 3D won't be "the thing" that will revive the domain industry: Maybe your right. But what will?

ps: Sorry if I have to write like to a child:I'm tired of saying the same thing & I'm french = difficulty to write well in english! lol

    quote on:

I agree with the others though; you aren't bringing value to the forum. Not because you don't agree with the strategy of buying 3D domain names but because the questions you ask have already been answered.

    : quote off

I Remember the times my dad asked me same questions over and over again not even willing to understand what makes me believe in the success of my current project. But I had to listen since - like most time of my life - I was running on the last drops of fuel and had to convince my old man to accept another I O U. No matter if he was right or wrong - forcing me to explain or convince always led to one thing: After that "begging for another grant" procedure I sometimes reconsidered my plan or expectations.

Call it dad or call it Domainica Consultants - you might don't like their massage - but take take it into your considerations.

You think you'll do million with those? I would pay a penny for them all in a bundle! So, stop saying we all want millions with our domains: we just want a good return!

ps: If that's the kind of domain you register = broke since 1997! ;)

You still can't read, can you.

Those are fun-sounding names. THAT'S why I regged them. I don't expect to make anything off them, I just like the sound of them.

I do this as a hobby. But if you want to compare names that I've bought and sold over the past few years, I'd be more than happy to.

you guys are killing this board, which is exactly what this guy wants...
    leave him be....

I don't have to justify anything to anybody...
... i'm sorry people dno't agree with buying 3d domains .. o well for them
    .. from where i sit - i hope i'm right more than i hope they're wrong.

There will be PLENTY of naysayers in ANYTHING we do..
.. yes.. even parents... so be it.

i started this thread as a simple question and it became this big thing, which became an even bigger thing.. wasn't trying to hype anything up .. i might have only had about 20 3d domain names at that point... the guys and girls in this thread that have chimed in with great tech news and articles and findings helped me find some others... if i'm wrong.. BIG DEAL .. it cost me a little over thousand dollars to take a chance at a business venture with high potential..... again .. sorry if not everybody would have taken that chance.... good for you .. you're the best and i'm the dummy .... good for me

Whoever is tired of listening to this guy, just ignore them .. i have gotten NUMEROUS emails and pm's suggesting we all do the same... i think i'm going to take that advice and say "o well... can't please everybody"

who cares, really... i'm sure he's not the only one you talk to that tells you the same type of things in regards to 3d domain names... so be it... like i said - i just hope i'm right, that's all.

.. but this board shouldn't get trashed because someone voices their opinions.. fine.. thanks for the advice.. i'll keep it in the back of my mind.. wish you well on your way.

    - - -- - - - - - -- -

and back to the real stuff that made this thread what it is..
... has anyone regged any new names? ..
... better yet ... has anyone made any little mini sites yet or started to develop anything?
... i just completed another... nothing great, by any stretch - all amazon stuff for the time being, but it should hopefully gain some traction in the upcoming months.

    3dMotionControllers.com

and has anyone seen this video clip of the new motion control games coming out...
... just GREAT stuff.. this has me so excited about the possibilities.
