PPC will almost never work for a beginner. You need to be willing to spend a lot of money testing before you make your money back.

Focus on free methods. Set up a blog. Write some content. Do some article marketing.

Definitely agree with ParthS - go back to using free methods - target different keywords with articles instead, and direct them to a landing page where you either give a quick review of the vendor product, or give a little more info and some benefits before sending them to the vendor.

After enough article marketing you should learn which keywords are working for you, and also make improvements to your landing page - eventually you can expand back onto PPC bidding for the terms which you know convert in article form, to your own landing page which you also know works. Imo article marketing should always come first, and will teach you a lot more even in failure than failing in PPC will.

    Good luck!

Pay per click takes a lot of tweaking and tracking. Trim the stuff that's not working, and pour your money into the stuff that's converting. You have to be constantly changing the wording of your ads, and your landing page until you find good combinations.

If you are experimenting with PPC, I suggest you try with CPA offers than trying with clickbank products. Personal experience says, CPA offers convert better for ME than for clickbank products.

I am also disillusioned by PPC. Over 1,000 clicks and no sales still.

I have some blogs and started writing a couple of articles but am struggling to think of stuff to write for articles - how do you guys come up with stuff day after day?

pangolin123 - what are CPA offers?

    To Azure11:

CPA stands for Cost Per Action. Nowadays, an growing army of affiliate networks that focus on bringing in advertisers that are comfortable to pay affiliate or publisher (site owners) that can bring them leads instead of sales. And the advertisers will reward them with money based on the number of leads that they can bring in. The network takes a cut, of course.

I saw that one coming a mile off :)

You won't find these on clickbank, but if you look on the wider affiliate programs forum above this one you will see this discussed more there, and I think programs like Azoogle / Pepperjam offer some of these (don't quote me on that), but there are others too which focus only on CPA - I believe some of them can be very good, but also believe there are a few companies that are viewed as "scams" and setup, fly by night and never deliver so do a little research to see who is reputable if they only offer limited CPA programs and little else perhaps?

Here is the wider forum anyway:

Well said. Direct linking is thought to be a quick and easy way to make money. Even as it works for some, its not going to be profitable for long. I don't know why people are too lazy to make a landing page. That way they won't risk getting the ban hammer. It won't be wrong to say that the direct linkers won't be in business for long.

If your new you shouldn't do PPC because you are going to lose a lot and I mean a lot of money. Instead do what ParthS said and focus on bum tactics such as article marketing as that will bring you in a decent amount of money and you can then spend some time learning about PPC and doing it properly.

    Pay only for highly-targeted keywords.
Set up your OWN squeeze page.
Offer them something free for opting in.
Send your CB offers through e-mail.

Clickbank Dangerous ? I am curious on that one.... PPC yes takes some mastering in order to see a positive outcome.
Take some courses that first you learn how to use the Free Methods first to make some sales, then gradually go into the PPC, but again take some courses on those.
Check out my links (both of them I use personally, I am not ready yet to do PPC better there are course on it)

I agree. PPC will lose you a lot of money if you don't know what you're doing. However, once you learn the ins and outs - it's pretty simple.

I can show anyone my methods of PPC + Clickbank and the key things you need to know, shoot me a PM.
