Hi, I've been asigned to do seo work for a website. I usually do work for websites, but they're mostly blogs, with a lot of articles and stuff. The new website that I've been assigned to do work for is a website that provides help with the bar exam. Here is the link http://mybarsuccess.com. So I dont know how I can go about getting this site ranked highly in google for keywords like: state bar, state bar exam, the bar exam, bar exam, california bar exam. I can't just place these keywords all over the site, because it is a site where they have to sign up and such. So I don't really know how i can go about doing some seo on this site and get ranked highly for these keywords. Can some of you fellow seo guys go on the site and take a look at it and tell me the best steps to go about doing this. Thanks, Please get back to me Soon.
To get top rankings on certain keywords: 1 Make a keyword research 2 choose the most appropiate keyword and focus on it 3 Link building with your keywords, using anchor text. These are the most basic steps to get ranks with keywords.
So what is some very effective off page seo i can do to get ranked for these keywords. Also What is some really effective on page things i can do to get ranked, the on page part is the hardest because it there isnt much i can modify.
To get your website higher in ranking, there is a few things to keep in mind. Search engines rank by a few factors. Age, domain registration in years, keywords vs text on page ratio, backlinks (very important), and the visibility of your site to the search engine robots. I would try to find some keyword and keyword phrases to add to your site as well as build a few doorway pagers (no more than 20). I do SEO work and know this well.
I like to check this SEO Meta Tag Analyzer Tool ... it's totally free ... and will help determine how the website is doing as far as Relevant Keyword, Relevant Descriptions, Relevant Title, and Relevant Content .... and will give you the answers in easy percentages in a matter of seconds.... seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html Hope this helpls! I think door-way pages would work well and perhaps adding some relevant, keyword rich copy below the signup forms etc. Also off-page SEO will have to be your main target - build some good, relevant links and your rankings should improve
Also the keywords I have to rank for are competing with pagerank 4-7 sites. Do you guys think that with some on page seo and then link building, and such i will be able to get the companies website ranked with that type of competition?
Here are some of the factors that needs to be considered with regards to On-Page Optimization: title tags meta tags description keywords content sitemap robots.txt Do some keyword research to know how competitive your keywords are and use some of those less competitive keywords so that you'll have higher chances to get higher rankings.
the thing is i cant just do low competition keywords. THey want me to rank for really high keywords with competition that has pr 4-7. What should i do?
does domain age is really a factor in SERP? there are newly develop sites that rank on top for some competitive keywords.
Like someone else said, get rid of that re-direct first off. Also, you should have them add more content to the site instead of just pitching them the service right away. Even if you get the site ranked high for those keywords, I don't think too many people will convert to buyers without any sort of sales page. The added content will help you add some more on-page factors too like the keywords you need.
put this keywords in home page title and mata tags. after that do same SEO step one by one and also if your domain have good PR and good popularity so you can get good result in sort time and also this keywords competition is very high so you can make any change wait few days
Ok, so do you guys think i can outrank the competition and get on the first page for medium competition keywords? Like i mean in a monthes time. Also how many backlinks can I create in a day to make sure I'm not going to get the site sandboxed.
It is not considered spamming if you keep the number relatively low (no more than 20). Cloaking has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is your visitors do not know the url they are at, The disadvantage, it can confuse search engines and come up as temporary move which will hurt rankings. I would not cloak or forward the site.
