Hi I have a website & have a adwords account but not enough traffic. so plz tell me wow to improve click through rate (CTR).
Hi Skelton, The ad must persuade the prospect that the page this ad points to will hold the answer to what they are Looking For. The landing page must deliver on what the ad promise, otherwise the clicks will be wasted. In addition, you also have to ensure that only those people whom you are targeting will click on your ad. Or to put it differently, you want to make sure that you get the clicks that are most likely to convert into buyers. Identify what you are selling Make sure you have a clear idea of what you're selling and how that will tie in with your ad. Choose the keywords that apply to your site, and include them in your ads. Narrow down your target market Understand who you are selling to. Use focused keywords to help you create a targeted ad Focus on subtopics rather than ads for the general keyword they convert much better into customers because you are able to direct them to exactly that page that contains the information they are looking for. Hope this helps you!! P.S. I am giving away a FREE eBook on Adwords made Easy here http://www.greenwaspproducts.com ….You should check it out!!
Just pick keywords like the buyer would or anyone searching for your website content. Original content is always great ! I had an 81% click through rate on my website simply by employing the right keywords! Think like your customer or readers =)
the keyword insert method. If your keyword is acne cure problems, make your ad something like this: Acne Cure Problems Save On Acne Cure Problems Discounts Available. Like the above insert your main keyword in the ad body and in the title. That will attract specific attention and get you a higher CTR!
Target your ads. You only want them to be seen by people who would be very keen to use your site. If you have a broad site, target one small part of it. Get your main keywords in your ad title, and state the benefits of visiting in the description.
How I improve CTR is to run 3 or 4 ads for a short time. Find one that is outperforming the others, and delete the others. Then spin that one good ad into 3 or 4 more ads, each only slightly different. Maybe change one word here or there . Let that run for another short time and weed out the bad ones and keep the good ones. It takes some time, but after a few cycles of changing the ads, you should get 1 or 2 real good ones.
Click-Through Rate. A percentage of the number of clicks you get divided by the number of times your ad is shown. My advice is only 2 ads at a time for a more uniform test. Would also be good to run for at least a whole week, again for a fair, uniform test. Also, decide on the winner after each gets at least 30 clicks.
81% would be quite something but it's not impossible. I had one keyword last year getting 84.6% (11 clicks in 13 impressions). Getting this for an ad (group with many keywords) is a bit harder but I have plenty of ads with 25% or more click rates with a few over 50%. It's a question of using the right keywords for your product and an attractive ad.
There are two very important areas to improve click through rates: 1.Ad copy -Create a strong connection between your ad and your landing page is crucial in maintaining a good conversion rate. -Eliminate mispositioned ads. Redefine your target niche if necessary, and try to use more productive keywords. -Use meaningful phrases 2.Ad position Controlling your ad position and your bids is more important than being first-listed.you need to find out the position (and the bidding price) that gives you more benefits. CTR is the percentage of viewers that actually click on your ad. CTR is different from impressions, that is the number of people who view your ad, whether they click through or not.
Your Ad copy has to be good. Are you split testing, and are you using relevant keywords in your Ads that are specifically targeted with regard to your Adgroup keywords, and are your Adgroups tightly focused? If you can get all those things right, I see no reason why you can't improve your CTR considerably.
The only way to enhance CTR is have more targeted keywords and have better AdCopies. These two play the most significant role in enhancing your click through rates. Here is what you can actually do to improve yourself on both the aspects. Tips to Enhance Keyword Research: 1. Use highly reliable tools like Market Samurai, Keyword Elite. 2. Go For the quality of the keyword and not the search results that it has. 3. Spend more time on researching keywords than on any other thing. 4. You can also use Google Cash Detective if you can afford it. Enhance Ad Copies: It is same old story here, anyway, I'll enlist and just go through them. 1. Have a compelling title (Use capital letters in your every word). 2. Same is the case with the body of the ad - don't kill your ad by writing them in small letters. First letter of every important word must be capital. 3. Use the Product Name in the title if possible. Oh, and yeah, if you aren't getting results in spite of doing this, then you need to split test your ads like mentioned above. It allows you to get rid of ads that don't get clicks easily. These are few techniques that I believe you can execute. Cheers! Zango
