Backlinks bounce up and down ........ Why

    Seems like my backlinks bounce up and down between 850 and 1100. Is there any explanation for this? Its been going on for about two months. I use several tools to check the links and they all match pretty close.

    I have been using THIS one for a while. The links have dropped considerably lately.

    It's probably due to the spiders not consistently "seeing" links. This could be due to dynamic pages, javascript, and other quirky behavior. As said above, stick with one or two sources and watch for overall growth.

    Hmmm.... would it be a benefit to keep a list of my backlinks and ping them regularly? Does anybody do this?

    The links seem to be dropping at a good rate daily......makes no sense. Any solutions?
