Hi, How do I promote my webhosting directory WebhostListin' - www.webhostlist.in? It's barely a couple of months old and I haven't had time to do anything to promote it other than in the DP webhosting forum. What would be your strategy for a site like this? Yeah you should join some other forums as well and try to participate in hosting related blogs as well.
Yeah, I need to post in WHT/FreeWHT and some other webhosting forums. Will start doing that soon. Hmm... I'm not sure about that... I hardly get any visitors from my own sig at DP! Will think about it... Do you mean commenting in topics on hosting blogs? I haven't found any webhosting related blog that really stands out... Maybe I'm not searching hard enough... I think the best way to drive REAL traffic would be to: 1. Add hosting providers yourself. The more content site has the more potential. You may have to go extra mile and list hosts yourself that you come across. 2. Ask hosting companies to make a special plan for your directory users. Most hosts would be more than happy to do a coupon code for your directory and that would be mutually beneficial for you and the host. Hope this helps.
