Are you Todd of Buysellads? I know the owner of BuySellAds.com and I was the person who actually went on GAF and many other sites to ask for the clone of the site. I cannot say that I will make the script ready for "buy now and download" - it may get some users angry who have wanted this clone for a while, at the same time I have to think if I want the more "adbrite style clones like phplemon adQuick" etc out on the net as competition. Heres my honest opinion. My script is not an exact clone of BSA. It has cost me over $1000 to develop and that, realistically is nothing compared to the real BSA, my script is for use for my own business network of sites - its very childish compared to BSA. BSA use advance server loading, ping tracking and have a large RIA operation that goes behind the scenes for the ads to display, work, build xml and databases - they use a mixture of Amazon API and a lot of in house solutions - aswell as paying networks and bandwidth sites to deliver the network faster - I must say that BSA is very fast. I speak to BSA and I like todd (founder, google his interviews...), he always answers my email questions - even deeply about his business that I know he would not publish on forums, the work that has gone and goes into BSA everyday is something that keeps the business going - BSA is still live. Many "web2.0" (shudders) are gone and will not return. BSA is a business that I would not want to rip, copy or clone. My script design and usage will be different to BSA - although it will be like it. I think it will be fair to put in my credits that "inspiration from BSA" after all my legal side is covered. Cloning a site and selling it would not work long term.. look at adQuick.. he hardly makes sales and its overpriced.. and the state of the sites that buy it and try to make an adbrite network are jokeable. I will be happy to publish the link when we go live in feb 2010.. but I dont want to hurt BSA.. I like it a lot and if I had a blog for developer/designer niche that had good content I would use BSA for its simplicity, they cover publisher costs and no matter what adserver you use - BSA works for designers/developers niche - its like firefox and opensource, its a big pie, and everyone is taking pieces from it.. many sites could have easily ditched BSA .. but its not about that always.. BSA is so complex, I wouldn't worry a bit about getting it cloned, and even if it were, my point - as yours as well - is that cloning is not going to work on the long term. Hello I have had a few PM sent to be about this issue. BuySellAds.com clone does not exist and I hope it will not ever. The script I have made is probably the closest to date. I am not willing to sell the script - believe my I cant believe I am saying that as I hate when people say that! The script can be seen on my site which I can give a PM to anyone. I can show you some code and explain a few things. I am looking to release this as an ad network opensource script but then it will saturate the market.. I dont know..
