I'm building up search engine traffic from submitting my articles to free article directories. Here are the ones I have tried. http://www.ezinearticles.com/ The biggest I know. Articles are usually acceptet in 2-3 days. They are good for SEO but they get alot of articles submitted so the articles quickly gets less traffic from them. http://www.bestpoint.com/ I have had great results here. There aren't that many articles submitted and the articles get featured if you send them a little traffic back. http://www.articlesbase.com/ Works a lot like ezine. I haven't seen a lot of traffic coming from here. But it should be good for SEO. http://www.articledepot.co.uk/ Still waiting on getting my article approved. I don't know what the results will be. What other good article submission sites are out there?
best article directories are - ezinearticles - buzzle - article alley - web-source.net - webpronews - articlebase - searchwrap - goarticles - articleset - amazines - ideamarketers few are no follow but they are good for traffic.
Don't just submit your articles to article sites - think content marketing and not article marketing. For example, an article can be a blog post, forum post even a video.
Hi, I try to spin every article into a blog, a press release (can be difficult) and if possible a video. Don't know how others find it but do not see many clicks from articles to my websites, although that may be a comment on my articles! Would be interested to find out other views on traffic generation apart from articles? I feel this is the most difficult task on the Internet. New to forums so please excuse if I am rambling on, just keen to learn from others.
Question in this always whether it is to get backlink or traffic? I believe to get traffic article quality must be high. But getting backlink is always better for our site to get more traffic through SE, though it take longer time. Take care of NOT submitting same article to all the article directories.
Don't just rely on article sites! When your article is published in the article directories do social bookmarking and ping with various ping tools available! As you are looking for more traffic try marketing these articles on social network sites. Your focus on traffic can be reached by doing so! How many directories should one article be submitted to? ans: You need to follow the TOS of particular directory. However you can submit one article into many article directories, as it just works as how we do Directory Submission( submit one website to many directories with applied changes). Thanks.
How about Associated Content and Hubpages? Their standards are higher, but you have the opportunity to earn from them too. I'm wondering whether, as their editorial standards are higher, if Google rates links from them more highly than some of the other article directories.
I think Associated Content is not as good as Helium. For one thing, Helium encourages links. You can even get away with Clickbank hoplinks
There is an article directory below my signature, hope it will help you increase traffic for your site
