Looks like an after thought. And you are giving people who visit your homepage almost no opportunity to see the ad units because they are so far down the page.

More is not better. And if you want to make money with adsense you need to make it visually available.

Ad placement between posts is brilliant.

    I 100% agree.

If we'll dissect your site, you've made a very good decision placing the Google Custom Search on top, kudos on that.

However, placements of other ads could be much better.

    Namely:
    - your link unit ad (let's take http://goodlives.us/alternative-tips/water-facts/ as an example) is positioned too low. I'd suggest you to move it BEFORE the title of the page, or right under it. Basically make it so it appears as soon as visitors load your page.
    - Your big square ad is also positioned too low (from the same page). I suggest moving it higher and make it float towards the left and to the top.
    - Your last (closing) links unit has no business there at all, since not many ppl would click on it. Remove it altogether.
    - Your right side banner ad (the highscraper) needs to be moved up top, before your "last news".

If you'll implement all this I'd expect a 50% increase in revenue.

Hey, man one suggestion dont use image ads as you will get less $$. It is only effective if you get 1000s of impressions. i suggest you to use text ads.

One more suggestion i can see your navigation bar. Do one thing place ads 5 unit link ads instead of that navigation.
