Here comes another religious believer in vbSEO

Let me remind you that all vbseo really does is rewriting urls !

And exactly how can vbseo get you $150 worth of links ;) .... I Still think that PR7 link is worth much more than vbseod forum..... anyway just check digitalpoint :D

Now my question is can vbseo hurt your forum other than you are wasting $150 ?
what are the harmful affects, if there are any?

    Hi All,

I invite you all to check out the demo for the full vBSEO solution, so that you can have a better sense of what is included. Note: The current demo does not include all new features that will be released shortly in vBSEO 3.0 (currently in release candidate 4).

Cool - I just noticed that our Demo page has great PageRank. ;)

Guess that is because of vbseo ;) ok kidding

Since it seems you are vbseo representative can you explain how vbseo can rank you better than just rewritten urls via .htaccess

I use vbseo, it's definately worth the money (to me). Not that you need it to be successful, just that every bit helps.

FYI - Actually, vBSEO-enabled forums typically see significant (to dramatic) results in visible PageRank boost for all pages including homepage, forum display pages, and thread pages, etc. While PR is not the be all and end all of SEO, we know that it plays a role with Google, particularly influencing crawling and indexing priority.

Simple redirects via .htaccess are a great way of informing the engines of content that you have moved on your site. But, of course, it requires a lot more than that to accomplish what vBSEO does. Each page needs to be post-processed to ensure that all embedded links are converted to the new format. Too many people get confused and caught up in all the mod_rewrite details.

The reality is that the real power of the rewriting that vBSEO does is establishing "link concenus" or link authority. If we also remove thousands of pages of duplicate content in the process... well then... that's certainly a bonus! Rather than me go into a more detailed explanation, please check out the following post:

    http://www.vbseo.com/f55/seo-guys-real-estate-forum-5996/#post34895

The thread is some questions SEO Guy had before purchasing & Juan explains how vBSEO achieves total URL consistency and link consensus with an example.

It's a great read. BTW Feel free to Digg it or add it to Furl/Technorati/del.ici.ous using the icons found below each post. FYI This is a new feature that will be included in vBSEO 3.0.

Note: Any good SEO should be aware of the value of unique & consistent URLs for each unit of content on a site.

I hope that helps. Remember to check out the demo to see the myriad of SEO features that exist beyond the URL rewriting.

    Quote from vbseo forum !
This is vbseo team assumption isn't it ... there are no indexed pages for goto=nextnewest etc.....
Also who invented link consensus ?

Please explain me here what is this all about ... how is this exactly done in out of the box vbulletin, how it is done with vbseo and show some kind of proof please..... I see vbulletin indexed with only showthread.php ... without goto=nextnewest etc.....
