I think I have a right to rant about this. I travel for my career and program apps right at Starbucks, or Jamba Juice, etc. I got a new Blackberry Curve the night before last, and long story short - It has definitely been taken. I was with a Social Gathering, and something wild broke out - and I ended up more or less right up in the mix of things. So, I have 'NO' clue where in the room I sat my phone. Mind you I was rather intoxicated, but I am no dummy. When a fight starts and people disappear - and my phone comes up missing, then someone stole it. I'm salty about it and to think of the time I invested in drooling over it.
Definitely get the phone de-activated, and if someone tries to activate it at a store, most times it will be flagged and they will keep it for you. There are apps that exist nowadays where you can activate GPS location of your phone via a text message, giving you the ability to track your phone remotely. If you have this option or have prepared for it, I would advise not to have the phone d/c so that the person who stole it will keep using it and eventually you could track it.
Another reason why you should be careful with anything you have on you which you cherish. Thats one of the biggest downsides of everyone with any electronics on them now, they can go easily missing.
Yeah, I had just got it the day before. I was so mad. I have it taken care of now. My new curve should hit my Florida Office this morning.
Oh, i often make mistake under a mix of things too, so just be relax, don't give yourself too much pressure.
I love the iPhone, but I need a different keyboard for it. I hate touchscreen keyboards. Like touch screen, but can't stand touch screen keyboards. That's why I grabbed up the curve, and not the Storm.
