This was a pretty intense article.. broken down into many parts for better understanding of 3d and the likes.
If anyone hasn't yet read through this piece, take an extra second and do so .. very well done.

    Thanks for sharing this

(and i love the BUY NOW button :)

    * * PS ... AFS 3d is available
i know the future is glasses-less 3d, but from what i'm reading, that could be quite a while

    Also pretty interesting:

3D display revenues to reach US$22 billion by 2018, says DisplaySearch

    **PS..

    and

    Hey all
... if u have the time, go check google keyword-tracker again for your keyword-rich domain name stats, as they seem to have updated their system.

Many of my exact string domain names search volume went up by about 200 - 300% ... some went up minimally and some still have no data to report, which is understandable for a lot of the earlier names I bought (3d dating sites... and 3d books...etc)

Pretty exciting to see the numbers jump a bit.
I have a spread sheet with all the numbers I researched in January and can't wait to look back on them a year from now

    Have fun all!

Hi I am new and this is my first post

I think the 3d thing will be big, although 3d films and tv have been around for a long time, but nobody ever really invested that much in them like they are starting to now, I also think the 3d video game thing could be big too, so I have just bought 3droleplaying.com I will wack it on sedo and just leave it there to appreciate for a bit I think, unless somebody makes me an offer I can’t refuse. But yeah don’t mortgage your house or anything, but if you can find something half decent for the price of the reg fee, definitely worth a punt.

    Hey tradingnames...
Welcome to the board... We have some really great and helpful people who keep chiming in... The pro's and the con's in everybody's opinions... Been a lot of fun

I also bought into plenty of games...
    I actually own
    3dRolePlayingGames.com
    and
    3dLARP.com

I know the rpg is pretty long, but apparently it don't stop people from searching for it.

There's still lots of good names out there, u just have to look a little harder now...this window of opportunity appears to be coming to a close though, so get what u can while u can... could be your last chance.

    Good Luck

It's good to see that most of the domains which were bought by the people running this thread have ranked well in Google.

I think one person said it best on this thread, make sure that the domain you register is on an uptrend in traffic. I would like to also add that the CPC rate advertisers are willing to pay needs to be good as well. Otherwise, it's not worth the cost.

    So whats the view on 3d place names - e.g 3dnewyork.com 3dparis.com

Do you think these will have much value? particularly popular tourist venues? Personally i think they could, as surely people would like to search for a holiday destination and view it in 3d before booking?

    Hey Link Orders...
...upwards trends are definitely something to keep an eye on, but this 3d thing is just a different world than anything else we have seen in the domain business before

"3D" as a whole is an upward trend...
... but most of what's gone on here n this thread this past month has been nothing more than some hardcore speculation (and hopefully, some really good guessing) with not many stats to prove anybody right or wrong.... at least not yet.

Most of us just have to hope our hunches are correct.. or at the least .. close... my take on the whole thing is that i only need to be right a few times.

Also, never underestimate the marketers who will slap a '3d' label on ANYthing and EVERYthing this upcoming summer (and winter) just to ride the 3d wave.

There is not a single doubt in my mind that 3d will be a craze in the likes we have not seen in many, many years.. if at all... . IMHO, it's all about the dollar now .. just a matter of time til everything becomes comfortably affordable... once that happens, there is no stopping this .. and THEN, you can look at upward trends.

..speaking of which.. as mentioned a few pages back.. google has updated their systems .. most of the names i bought in january have already increased in google searches by about 200 - 300%, so that's at least encouraging

    - - - - - - -

    Hey culvers...
... as for Geo 3d, we have touched on this numerous times throughout ths thread.. if you have the time, go back and read some good little tidbits from everyone who bought 3d geo names.... might even save you some time in looking for some as many people have listed what they already own.

me, personally, i bought a bunch of 3d geo names in the dot-info's - i just thought they'd make for a nice profit margin to help pay for the rest of the names i bought.
