Will DocStoc Allows Affiliate Links?

    Hi Guys,

I have been planning to submit some of my documents (which contains my aff links) to docstoc. I want to know will they ban for uploading documents which have affiliate links like scribd do?

I have gone through their terms but couldn't find what I have looking for.

Have anyone here experienced something bad with docstoc?

I'm wondering about this too. I just got banned from Scribd for "excessive promoting" even though none of the links went to an affiliate page but my own landing page. So now I need a new document sharing site to use.

Docstoc. will allow you to promote your affiliate links.
Almost All documents sharing sites allow to promote affiliate products except Scribd
So don't worry and upload your documents with affiliate links and enjoy....

I just signed up with them a few days ago and just found out that they have a system to allow you to sell your docs through them.

I have put affiliate links on my documents at docStoc. I am glad I found that out about Scribd...I just signed up a few days ago but haven't posted anything yet. I see that it may be a waste of my time to do so.

Oh thanks for the info on docstoc. I guess I should really read those things. I don't think any of mine have affiliate links but definitely has SEO qualities. Hmm wonder how they will perceive my stuff.

Do your documents provide value to the reader? Would it have been worth sharing even if you weren't interested in SEO? That is likely the rule of thumb docstoc uses.

I posted this in another thread, but I'll just add my findings for what it's worth..

I've noticed that, in docstoc, if you upload a file that only contains a picture and a link, they remove it instantly. Took me a while to realize that. I just kept re-uploading my file, until it finally hit me.. my files were being removed by docstoc.

I then tried using a picture, a link, and adding a page worth of content and my files were no longer being removed... well, atleast for now.

Not sure about scribd though. We'll see - I have a few docs up on scribd too.

I use them and link to both my landing pages and an affiliate link...No problems so far. You do want to provide good content in your articles.
    Best wishes...

I love doc sites (it was one of the 10 ways mentioned in my free report). Use TinyURL or Bitly or whatever to shorten the link and put it as a anchor text.

I also find for doc websites
    - Branding is very good (using images)
    - Use upload tools for mass updates
    - Link at top and bottom

    Cheers,
    Mukul

They are definitely informative and only have maybe 1 or 2 links in them for SEO. They haven't been taken down yet so hopefully I'm good at least for now.

I have several documents on docstos, scribd and sites like that, and they all have affiliate links. So I guess they allow it since they never deleted any of my docs.

I had stuff on Scribd for a few months with links in the document too and then they banned me a few weeks ago completely. I didn't even have affiliate links but rather links to my own page. I think it just takes time for them to catch it or maybe someone reported them.

The email was hilarious too. They said I need to take my promoting shenanigans elsewhere and if I continue to use Scribd they will take "legal action" lol.

Docstoc outright rejected a few of my docs - that don't contain a single link - affy or otherwise. Why, I have no clue.
