1341 clicks = 65,57$

I have a gaming community website that i started 5 months ago. After 5 months i made 65,57$ out of 1341 clicks with +550K pageviews.

I think the amount of clicks is way to low for the amount of pageviews. If i am not wrong the gaming niche isn't the best niche to make money?

Anyone got tips to improve the value per click or the amount of clicks?

 

Did you tested the adsense adds on different positions? different colours? different adsense sizes?

 

Hey, I got a suggestion for you.

Inside AdSense go to: "AdSense Setup" -> "Ad Review Center"

In there it will show you some ads by categories, namely % of ads shown and % of ads by revenue they represent.

My suggestion is, remove anything that performs worse than 1:1.

This way you'll have a simple way to clear out badly performing ads while leaving the well performing ads to run.

 

Yes, the positions are way better then before. Trying different colors and sizes right now.

The Niche Videogames is doing wel: 38:30. I removed a few bad performing ads, going to check it out for a few days now. Thanks for letting me know. I never heard of this option

 

I think you are BADLY placing your adsense ads, you should be getting at least 5K clicks with such traffic. Also, if ads are placed badly, they don't convert well.

Yup! gaming niche is one of the worst niches, and its even too worst if you are not receiving traffic from usa and uk !!
You better try to change your niche, or work on your traffic to receive thousands of visitors daily !

 

I know the Niche isn't great but i still see enough options to earn something out of by selling ads or text links. This site isn't made to earn money with but to improve my experience as webmaster in SEO techniques. We are working on getting a bigger amount of visitors each day but this will take some time.

 

If you get low cpc, your content quality is bad or just not popular to advertise in.

 

Maybe you can start a site in a better niche, and see what is the difference in earnings.

It really depends what type of niche you are having still amount is looking good for me. Althought rate per click is low something is better than nothing.

i guess you got wrong website to put your adsense...coz i think its loss, if your niche is HPK , you can imagine your self......how benefits you are

 

Banner are worthless, Use text links they are much higher and will make you much more money. I have made 30$ one day from 50 clicks. The niche is a problem but still you can get 5-9$ clicks if the text link is somthing like, gaming desiner school.

 

Changed my ads to text links and i will check it out for a few days/weeks.

 

If its 65.57 than its bad but if its 6557 than thats amazing earning
