I have a website http://www.theticketgiant.com. My main focus is to sell tickets to events in South Florida. I have been having a hard time getting this off the ground. Could someone take a look at this for me and provide me with some ideas on how I could get better results. Thank you.
You need to optimize your site for South Florida. Your title or content does not scream South Florida or even Florida for that matter. Your title is Home (the Ticket Giant) I'd use Buy Tickets to South Florida Concerts, Sports, and other Events. The only text on your page is: Tickets for Sporting Events, Concerts, Broadway, and Theatre Shows Again, nothing for Florida. I'd change it to a couple of complete paragraphs, such as: Are you looking for tickets for Florida's hottest events? Look no further. The Ticket Giant is the place for tickets to FLorida's.. blah blah blah....don't be left out of that concert...blah blah blah. Don't waste time on other ticket sites. We have the best selection all online. Get your tickets to events in Florida NOW! Embellish it more.... Stephen C
If you wanna sell tickets to events in South Florida, you will also need visitors - preferably targeted - who actually are interested in purchasing these tickets. Try for instance craigslist for South Florida area and post a few notes about your services.
Go to some blogs of musicians and post there with a link to your blog. You can basically post on any person/group website you intend to buy tickets for. They should appreciate your efforts since you help them make money.
you could check out the site of ticketamerica.com and note the aspects they have incorporated in their design.
Never mind about how to get more sales. Your site really needs work. Focus on that first. You can do every method in the book in bringing in traffic, but if your site is shit.... Unless this is what you were asking help with??? Uh, why is there a muscle guy on the top there??? Look at other (professional) sites for examples.
You need to do pretty much exactly what Stephen said...Then you need to get a Press Release out there. Actually several Press Releases. I also think you could start by doing some article marketing and getting some backlinks to your website. You can do all of this yourself, or higher someone to do it. By all means though, optimize on-site first, then move off-site for SEO.
Of course, as people here have pointed out, the key is reaching people who are interested in the acts that are coming to South Florida. Search engine optimization is a must, but another good idea is isolate certain big events in South Florida (big concerts, sports teams, et cetera) and write content-rich articles about them to attract the people who are interested in the particular events. You can search engine optimize these. At Content Crooner we can take an article like this and automate its distribution to build a lot of backlinks from an already-interested audience. Then you can connect us with Twitter and use social networking in combination as well. We've got clients who have been using this strategy for ticket sales for some time.
