Help me decide which domain name to choose for my medical site

Hi guys,

Need some suggestions on a medical site.
I prefer to have .com
but cyberMD (my desire domain name) is not available. Next option is WEBcyberMD

or i can choose .org-----> cyberMD.org

Which do you guys prefer? Help me make a suggestion

Actually this might be some noob question to ask.
A .com or .org is better? Does it make any difference?

 

If you are planning to make it popular and work on it hard, you need to choose a com domain in my opinion. And of course there is a difference between com and org. I don't think there'll be a big difference on search engine optimization but the difference between those extensions is traffic. If you choose cybermd()org and develop it, you will constantly lose your visitors to cybermd()com as some of them will try to access your site with com extension.

.com is much better.I think you'd better use .com to register a more suitable domain name.There are still many
available ones related to your field.For commercial use,.com is always the best.

 

Yes...I always prefer .com because it is top level domain.

 

"org" too is a top level domain.
If you dont sell in your web site .org can be used meaningfully.

 

i also like .org coz it got the domain name that i desire but i think i might lose traffic as to talvetia said. As i myself have experienced the same thing. I have already get used to using bookmark in my PC. One time i tried to access wikipedia by typing wikipedia.com but in fact it's wikipedia.org (after i have google it)

It definitely is a major drawback not having the .com and you will lose traffic to whoever it is that has it, but .org are becoming pretty popular and can be really good, look at Wikipedia.org, sometimes if I like the .org enough then I do sometimes go for them, in this particular situation I probably prefer the .org, I just don’t really like webcybermd.com.

 

actually that's the main concern i myself also not really like webcybermd.com. In the same time, i might lose potential regular visitor if i don't choose .com. Hmmmm...How about cybernetMD.com?
